Quiet, well equipped house
A great way to be in close proximity of Ferrara with the peace & quiet of the countryside. Alessandra & her sister Fiametta were lovely hosts who provided a welcoming house on three levels for two couples to comfortably enjoy the area.
10 - 15 minute drive into Ferrara Centro and easy access to roads leading to the many other sites all fairly nearby eg Verona, Padua, Ravenna, Modena etc.
A lovely time in Ferrara
We had a wonderful time in our stay in the house. It’s very well equipped and the beds are comfortable. The bedrooms are big and decorated with very good taste. The bathrooms are very nice and everything was very clean. The location is perfect to visit Ferrara and the other cities around, like Bologna, Padova, Modena, Ravena, Verona... We wished we had stayed longer. Alessandra was very helpful and pleasant. We would go back with no doubt
Thank you for the review 😘
A great base to explore the North East of Italy. An efficient, hospitable and helpful host.
The house was immaculate and very comfortable as a base for the region. All amenities provided. Alessandra was helpful and responded quickly to any queries. Great WIfi which enabled younger family members to keep in touch with friends at the end of each day. The village provided essentials with a general
Store, pharmacy, post office 'convenience store' and small take out pizzeria. We found the location great for exploring the region by car. Thank you for enabling a memorable holiday.
Fun in Francolino
Alessandra was a great host, and her house is immaculate, recently renovated and it was a true pleasure staying in her home. It was a great value for 4 adults, my wife, me, my 21 year old son and his best friend. 3 bedrooms, 2 baths with air conditioning made our stay comfortable and the well equipped kitchen made cooking meals a pleasure. We selected this location to get us a bit closer to Venice, and though in a quiet small town, it proved to be a good spot to drive to Venice for the day. The town of Ferrara with its castle and moat is a 15 minute drive and we also enjoyed renting bikes and riding around the old city wall. Additionally, there was a small market across the street with a kind storekeeper who had all the incidentals we needed. A pizza shop next door keep the boys fed. All and all, a great spot to explore the Bologna and Venice areas.
Thanks for the nice review! Alessandra
Peaceful small town experience. Alessandra is easy going. She is kind and thoughtful. 15 mins to town. Great river walk nearby. Grocery shop across the street for any small or last minute items. If staying longer then a trip to the supermarket would be a good idea. It is a 3 level accommodation and it suited our family well.
Quiet and nice house
This house has been great for our12 days stay ! Alessandra gave a nice welcome and great explanations ! But a few items were needing like more pillows, more ustensiles in the kitchen ( mugs, knife, fork, cutting board, coffee machine...).
The location was very nice near the river, quiet area ! Thanks a lot for this first stay in Italy ! 👌🏼
Thank you so much for your nice review!
However I did not understand what items were missing , you are 4 people and there being 8 pillows, 8 mugs, 2 moka for coffee (one small and one large), cutlery for 8 people, 2 cutting boards (one small and one large). ..
