Wonderful apt in the center of it all

The apartment was adorable, clean, and well-appointed. Its location is perfect just steps from amazing restaurants, the popes palace, quaint shops, parking garage, grocery store, most importantly a wine shop just outside the door.

The lovely owners were gracious and welcomed us two hours before the actual check in time and were flexible with our departure time as well. They also provided us with maps and local recommendations and were available by just a phone call if needed. They were also very responsive to emails during our stay.

The bed was comfy, wifi was speedy, and the apartment felt recently renovated with updated fixtures. The aesthetic was a stylish balance of contemporary design mixed with the warm charm of exposed beams and building structure. Would highly recommend for a beautiful and charming property at a great price!

Loved loved loved our stay!

We had a mother-daughter trip to Avignon and Paul's apartment was perfect. It was clean, comfortable, and centrally located. Top Avignon attractions including Les Halles, Pope's palace, and the medieval bridge are a leisurely walk. In fact, it was so centrally located that we passed by the apartment on one of our walking tours! There was a grocery store nearby for supplies. Preparing our own meals helped keep the cost down and also allowed us to take a break from eating out all the time. The bed was comfortable (we did not use the sofa pull out bed so can't comment on that) and the water pressure in the shower was good (although the hot water does run out...but my mom and I both take long showers so most everyone else should be fine). There is a small dish washer and clothes washer (but no electric drier, just a drying rack). Our host Paul was very responsive to our emails and was just a nice guy overall, helping us with our luggage and arranging for a taxi to take us to the train station. The apartment was on the second floor of an old building and the staircase was pretty narrow, so keep this in mind if you have mobility issues. Will stay here again.

Great apartment, great location, great hosts!

Great apartment, great location, great hosts! This apartment is located in the heart of the old town, making everything so accessible. It is minutes literally two minutes from the wonderful market that happens every day except Mondays. The apartment itself is perfect, very clean, very organic in color and texture with lots of wood and stone. The kitchen is well-equipped enough to prepare meals from purchases at the market. We would definitely go back here again and plan to! Paul could not be a nicer and more helpful host.

Great Home away from Home

We stayed in this thoughtfully laid out apartment for a week, and we were sorry to move on. It is just like the pictures and as mentioned in other reviews, the owners were fabulous, and helpful, not just with recommendations, but also being flexible and gracious with our departure time (Very Early Morning....) Thank you Paul and Claudie!

The kitchen was well equipped, and the bed comfortable, and the shower was lovely. We enjoyed the boulangerie Le Fournil des Halles at 8 rue Petite Meuse - the fresh baguette was wonderful, and so were all their pastries. Favorite restaurant just a few blocks away, Fou de Fa Fa, and of course, the Marche Les Halles just half a block away.

Excellent stay in a beautiful newly renovated apartment

We had a great stay. The apartment is very well located next to a pedestrian street full of restaurants, shops, cafés, etc. Walking distance to anywhere in old Avignon. We were two adults and two children and it worked well for us. Our hosts were pleasant, welcoming and helpful. I highly recommend. One small issue was that the apartment could get a little warm, but the fans helped. Make sure to try the pizza restaurant next door - but you'll need reservations during the high season.

Perfect...just perfect.

Reservation contact with Paul was excellent....friendly and informative. We came into TGV station by train and took a taxi to the apartment. We were barely out of the car when Paul met us right there at the can not ask for more than that. The apartment is VERY tastefully remodeled and clean beyond expectation. Roomy, but not so large that you loose the cozy romantic feel of the old building. The windows look out over a pedestrian street that was in full flow when were arrived on Sat, but was dead quite by night and all day Sunday and Monday. Food stores, cafes, shopping and restaurants within a two minute walk. It's a place for two - you'll love it!

We rented a car for two days at TGV, and parking at Les Halles was a four minute walk away. BUT, here's a tip: If you rent a car, don't ask for, or accept an up-grade - get the smallest car you can. The ramps to the upper floors and parking slots at Les Halles will chill your heart...narrow beyond belief !

of the Rhone river and enter the walls by the Porte de la Ligne,

place de Carmes, place Carnot and then place Jerusalem.

Covered parking" Les Halles" just 100 meters furthur on.

Avignon is a cultural town and offers an architecture as rich as it's

history. On foot , cycle rickshaw or petit train visit the Pope's Palace, the famous bridge of Avignon, the Doms garden and the

picturesque "rue des Teinturiers" with it's canal and water wheels.

With a car or minibus tour, the Roman aquaduct "Pont du Gard", Gordes

and Roussillon, Le Luberon, Chateauneuf-du-pape, we can inform you on other sites according to your stay.
