Not too far from Rome, in the countryside, you find Casale tra gli Olivi. The building dates back to 1800s and is constructed in stone. The owner, who is an architect, recently renovated the property and furnished it to a very high standard, highlighting the ancient stone structure and inserting contrasting modern materials, such as glass and steel. Our wish is to make you, the guests, feel at home, welcoming you with the utmost hospitality and offering the wines typical of the Castelli Romani. The atmosphere we want to create is for lovers of ancient things and good wine. On request it is possible to be shown the famous Wine Road of the Castelli Romani with a visit to an old Roman cellar located among the vineyards of Frascati.
The house comprises two floors, completely independent, described in detail in the two units listed. The house can accommodate up to 6 guests on the ground floor and 4 other guests in the other apartment at the first floor.
After a day of visiting Rome or its surroundings, you can enjoy a relaxing moment in the beautiful garden. The architect has created for her guests a relaxing corner between the rose bushes and hazelnut trees with a heated Jacuzzi tub. The climate of the Castelli Romani, in the spring, allows you to stay and have lunch on the patio adjacent to the kitchen, equipped with an old wood stove and barbecue, enjoying the silence and the green of the olive trees.
The house is located 1 kilometre from the town of Velletri, where you can find regular trains to Rome, with journey time of approximately one hour. Guests can easily motor to the Lake of Castel Gandolfo, where there is the summer residence of the Pope; the quaint little village of Nemi; Valmontone with the Leisure Park Rainbow MagicLand. Also there is the A1 motorway access either towards Naples and Pompei in the South, and Tivoli (Villa d'Este and Villa Adriana), and Florence to the North. For those who enjoy the seaside, the closest are Nettuno and Anzio, where in summer you can find the ferry to the Pontina islands, Ponza, Palmarola and Ventotene.
Guests may request extra housekeeping, babysitting in English, private dinners and small organised functions for a reasonable charge.
