Eagles' Rest Lake Home

We've been going up to the north woods for about 15 years and found this place around 6 years ago. We found a new home away from the fast paced life in the city. Christine and Joe are like our extended family and enough good things cannot be said about them. You are greeted upon arrival with the warmest welcome and it seems like they just can't do enough to make your stay comfortable, relaxing and the best get-a-way from the routine of life. The lake home has everything that you need with a full kitchen, sun room facing the lake, large living room, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, air conditioning, satellite TV, fireplace for chilly fall nights, fish cleaning counter and freezer for fish waste and much more. You can catch nice fish right off the dock or go out on the 1900 acre lake and catch a wide variety of fish. Joe has showed me how to fillet fish the easy and efficient way, so it is almost as much fun to clean them as it is catching and eating them :) If the fish aren't biting right away or if Joe knows what jig or bait to use to catch them, he is more then willing to share his advice and tips. There are many places to go to eat close by if you don't want to cook on the BBQ or in the kitchen. We have met friends for life in Joe & Christine and highly recommend renting this place and firmly believe that once you stay here one time that you will anxiously wait for your return visit every year...

I can't say enough nice things about this home and the owners. Christine was always very prompt with her emails and quick to answer questions. Joe was at the house next door and was so helpful. He went above and beyond what I expected and was so helpful. We feel we gained a friend and will definitely rent with them next time we vacation up in Northern Wisconsin. Rent this place, you won't be dissappointed!!!

If you are looking for a relaxing and hassle free vacation get-away, Eagles' Rest is where you and your family can enjoy the outdoors and have a great time together. The owners, Joe and Christine have thought of everything to make your visit comfortable and worry free. The home is large and well maintained. There is a fishing boat and motor for the fishermen, satellite TV/VCR and dozens of movies for the kids, a fully equiped kitchen and BBQ tools for those who like to cook, and even binoculars to watch the eagles, ospreys and herons that fly over the lake. If we needed anything during our stay, all we had to do was ask. Joe even taught us how to filet our day's catch! We spent our week fishing, playing golf at some very fine courses nearby, hunting for souvenirs in Hayward, sampling great food at nearby restaurants, and sitting down by the pier to enjoy the lake and the eagles overhead. We even got up early one morning to watch the beautiful sunrise over the lake - but went back to bed afterwards. We look forward to another trip to Eagles' Rest!
