Loved our month in Estepona
The apartment was ideal for us, spacious , good location, well equipped. Its a short walk down into the port where there are lots of restaurants and bars and and there is a wonderful promenade into the centre of Estepona.
Everything in the apartment was clean but just a bit shabby.
The agents in Estepona were very helpful and booking through HomeAway was very straightforward.
A pleasant stay in a quiet, Spanish coastal town
Though we arrived quite late, the property management agency made it easy for us to find our way, get in, and park. Parking was available right outside the building.
The apartment itself was perfect for us (3 adults, 2 teenagers). It had your basic amenities (clothes washer, dishwasher, well-equipped kitchen, etc), but we ate almost all of our meals outside of the home. We were visiting Spain... why would we cook at home? The walk to the center of Estepona only took 15-20 minutes, so we mainly used the car to take day trips and explore the region. The view of the Mediterranean was still breathtaking, and it made no difference that it was partially blocked by a building. It was a great value for the space and proximity to the beach. The apartment and the helpful staff at the management office made our stay in Estepona just as we had hoped.
WOW! Super appartement! Très bien situé près du port de Estepona et plages.
Cet appartement de trois chambres et 2 salles de bains est super. La vue est sublime. A deux pas de la plage Cristo et tout près du port avec plusieurs restaurants. Le centre
d'Estepona n'est qu'à 1/2 heure de marche. Il y a aussi deux supermarchés à 2 minutes.
Les gens sont super accueillants. Le stationnement intérieur est petit et avons décidé de stationner à l'extérieur. Laura et Valeria de Genius Properties ont bien pris soins de nous tous. Pleins de beaux souvenirs nous garderons de Estepona.
“Vacation ‘17” What a perfect place to be !
What was easy ? How about everything ! Location, location, location. Just walk there. Genius Properties and Valeria took care of us like family ! The apartment had only one shortcoming, no dishwasher, but who cooks on vacation, we didn’t ! The views from the apartment are even better than shown ! All tile bathrooms and showers, air conditioning when needed, open windows for fresh air, elevator, “just sparkling” marble floors, only you could tell if you needed anything more. Nearby restaurants, cafes, Tapas Bars, shops, “Sunday Market,” Marina, beach, another beach, Old Town, more shopping, sidewalk cafes, restaurants, anyone hungry ? Holomon’s for tapas, “Plan B” great food, great owners, Amira, El Cazador and Hibscus, all are musts for dinner ! City bus, taxis, you do not need a car. Walk and sight-see until you can’t walk any more, then take a taxi back ! Inter-city buses too.
Apartment is ggod
The apartment is in good condition. AirCon in the master bedroom and living/dinning area. Veranda is nice view is poor. It was clean and has a garage which was not used we parked outside. Away from the center of town but good dinning options in the port nearby and next door. Supermarket and pharmacy close and easy access to freeway. Pick up and drop off keys flawless.
Apartamento muy cómodo y muy lindas vistas
La ubicación del piso para nosotros ha sido muy buena porque esta muy cerca de la Playa del Cristo, ha sido genial para nuestros niños. También esta cerca del puerto donde están los restaurantes, bares y supermercado. No hemos cogido mucho el coche.
El piso es muy comido y espacioso, muy bien mantenido y limpio. Hemos echado un poco de menos el lavavajillas pero ya sabíamos que no tenía.
Valeria, de la inmobiliaria, ha estado cuando la hemos necesitado y el sistema de recogida de llaves nos ha parecido muy bueno porque nosotros llegamos con una demora de 3 horas y las hemos recogido de la caja fuerte de la oficina sin problema.
Recomiendo este piso para vacaciones familiares.
Estepona Marina/Beach side - The Garden of the Costa del Sol'...
Located in the Marina area of Estepona in the heart of The Costa del Sol this holiday home provides a relaxing yet very conveniently located 'Get Away' or Holiday Apartment.
Estepona itself offers an abundance of local restaurants and facilities for your holiday all within easy walking distance of the apartment. There is no need for transport here...
You can spend time in the marina area just metres away with its many restaurants and cafes and even a Sunday flea market or you could choose to visit the much loved Christo Beach which is a small bay with its stone less shallow waters and beach restaurants (or Chiringuitos) which is just next door.
If you wish to go into the town centre this is just a 7 minute walk along the beach promenade where you will find all the local people out jogging, roller skating or simply strolling or taking a coffee in a cafe.
The Town centre itself is a combination of more modern streets as well the 'Casco Antiguo' (Old Town) where the cobbled streets lead you through the town with its flower clad walls and pretty courtyards and fountains.
All in all a wonderful location to while away the hours or take a welcome break and a cool drink in a traditional cafe or bar.
If you feel you want to venture further a field and use transport then there is also plenty to do both to the West and East of Estepona.
Gibraltar: is 35 minutes drive East of Estepona. Gibraltar is a small Perninsula, with a vibrant mix of Spanish and English traditions. It is also a VAT-free haven where you can find duty free bargains. You can visit the Caves or the 'Rock Apes' on the Rock itself. Just watch out that these cheeky apes don't steal your camera or your hat. Certainly a worthwhile day trip destination.
Selwo Wildlife and Safari Park: 20 minutes drive to the West is 'Selwo'.
Its a surprisingly life like and cleverly designed safari adventure park where you are transported via 4 wheel drive trucks to see the various elephants, hippos, bears and other animals in their surroundings.
Laguna Village: is located no more than 10 minutes West of Estepona Town Centre and is a popular destination for those who like to 'Chill Out' at the famous 'Puro Beach Club' and visit the various boutiques and cafes dotted around it. A lunchtime meal at 'Terra Sana' is definitely recommended.
Puerto Banus: 25 minutes drive to the West is the World famous 'Puerto Banus' otherwise known as the 'Millionaires Playground'. With its designer shops such as Versace and Cartier and its marina area with its enormous luxury Yachts and exclusive cars. Although its very 'luxurious' its cheaper than one might expect to eat a meal and 'watch the personalities go by'.
All these locations can be reached with relative easy via bus if you prefer not to hire a car.
