Walk down a private pathway to access your own studio apartment. Sleep in a queen size bed appointed with 800 thread count linens. New fold out full size sofa sleeper. Kitchenette amenities include coffee maker, electric kettle, induction hot plate, microwave, and refrigerator with freezer. Wall mounted TV screen pulls out and swivels for viewing from the bed. The dining area is situated near light filled glass french-doors with interior louvers. The walk-in shower has sliding glass doors. Washer and dryer are accessible for your use via the bathroom.

Outside the entrance there is wood decking and an enclosed lawn and garden. Ample on-street parking is available in front of the house or on busy weekend nights the street at the rear of the property always has space.

The apartment is reached from a sidewalk that begins at the front right side of the house as you face it. Follow the pathway down to the rear stairs and enter using a touch key pad using an access code we provide you.

Parking: On street parking. Usually there is no problem out front. Sometimes on the weekend evenings it might be a bit more crowded but there is always extra room out back on Alder Ct. Gate access is available in the back yard.

1 day pet fee $10. 2 day pet fee $20 anything more than that a flat $30.

So, please note that if you stay longer than one night there will be an extra charge for pet fee. Payment required during stay.

Transportation from/to Portland International Airport (PDX):

Portland International Airport (PDX), rated the nation's top airport, is only fifteen minutes away by taxi (approximately $32 fare) or rental car.

Complimentary airport pick up and drop off service can often be arranged with us provided we're given advance notice.

**Car Rental Discounts** can be obtained by making a call to Ryan (a gym friend of mine) @ Enterprise Rent-A-Car located at the airport. Cell 626-945-0093

The Neighborhood:

Portland's historic Laurelhurst park is just 4 blocks north with bucolic walking trails, tennis, basketball, and horseshoe courts. Stroll around a beautiful duck filled lake with an island in the middle. It's a great place to dog walk and jog.

Two blocks away are many great unique restaurants and boutiques. There is a wonderful summer street fair with local vendors, food carts and free live performances.

Nearby, a few more blocks to the south, the trendy Hawthorne and Division neighborhoods are also famous for browsing, eating and shopping. The bus stop to downtown is 3 blocks away. The Hollywood district with Trader Joe's is 2 miles north. Market of Choice is new and on 10th and Belmont.

Whole Foods is about 6 blocks away at 29th and Burnside.

When the weather is nice, we invite you use the three town bikes we offer to explore, imbibe and enjoy all that wonderful Southeast Portland has to offer!

Extras:

Pet Fees: $30 for the duration of the stay. We reserve the right to refuse a booking if a particular breed sheds too much. We do ask to put a provided sheet up on the bed and couch if you think that will help out. We want to make sure that the next guest has no dog hairs to worry about. The back yard is fenced in.

NOTE: We do have two dogs. One is 3 and very well behaved. We have Nikki that is 6 months.

She is full of it! They get up to go out around 7ish and go out back for their potty break. A recent review left us wanting to post this. She pulls on him and wrestles with him on their way back through the entry area and the kitchen floor before getting breakfast. This results in some pounding sounds on the floor and maybe her growling towards Tucker. Hey, I don't like getting up and letting them out each morning. Please let us know if this is annoying or if we need to get you some ear plugs for in the mornings. Hopefully, after she matures this will taper off.

Cleaning fee: $35

Guest Fee: $20 per guest per night. This is outside of family members only.

Exceptional studio!! Very walkable and an excellent location!

Owners were very nice and accommodating. The studio was a perfect place to stay...very cozy and comfortable! It was convenient to everything and easy parking. We will definitely stay there again!

Wonderful Location in Nice Neighborhood Close to Restaurants Cafes and Park

Stayed two nights in Dec 2017. The accommodations: Apartment in the back downstairs of a very charming home. It was clean and cozy for a family of four and dog. Direct access via french doors to fully-fenced backyard so we could easily let our dog out back at all hours when she needed to do her business (puppy). The location: Lovely walk-able neighborhood with restaurants, cafes and shops within 5 minute walk. Large park very close by with nice running/walking trails. The host: Art was very friendly, walked through the unit with us pointing out amenities. He lives upstairs and was having a party one of the nights we were there, was straight forward, giving us notice and providing ear plugs (although we did not need to use as noise level was fine). Has two dogs of his own who were very friendly and played well with our dog. Gave us suggestion re: offleash dog park which our puppy absolutely loved. Overall: Wonderful place to stay, considerate and communicative host, nice location. Highly recommend.

About Art Fleming

This home is a typical Portland four-square built in 1908. We have lived here since 2000. We both have a flexible work schedules, so are readily available for recommendations by text and phone. We have a very friendly male black lab, Tucker, who loves to play with other dogs.

We are both active cyclists during the summer. Art has hosted over 125 organized group bicycle rides for people and he enjoys showing people areas of Portland that are new to them. We have two town bikes for your use. There are local guides, maps, and brochures you can use to plan your adventure.
