Why Larry and Donna Reid chose Tahoe Valley

We retired and moved to Lake Tahoe and the cabin was too small for us to live in full tlime. We also use it for visiting family and friends.

What makes this cabin unique

In a very woodsy, quiet, family neighborhood, away from casino bustle. Has markets, restaurants, and shopping close.

Stayed four nights over the xmas holiday and couldn't have been happier! Lots of space, kitchen is well equipped, nice towels and beds/sheets, and really great location. Would definitely stay here again!

Rustic, clean, cozy house with proximity to South lake Tahoe!!

  • 4 of 5

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay here over Thanksgiving weekend. It was only the two of us but the house is quite big with three bedrooms, and enough sleeping space for about 6 people (living room and kitchen are a bit small if the group is big but they fit in well with the overall cozy theme of the house). The location is super convinient if you wanted to do any activities near South lake Tahoe and the house itself is clean, cozy and has a rustic charm. The couple who owns the place is very helpful and they respond promptly to your calls and queries. The only reason for not giving a full 5 stars to this place is the issue with patchy Internet as we found that none of the phones or laptops could connect to the network. Everything else was perfect!

Owner's Response: Thank you for your very nice review of our cabin. South Lake Tahoe has very good reception everywhere, but in the cabin area, that is mountainous, so interferes with cell and internet connections. We now have an appt. with Spectrum who promises to help, this week . We appreciate your input and are determined to make things better. Best regards, the Reids.

Great neighborhood

  • 5 of 5

Perfect for small family. Comfortable, had all the necessary amenities. Clean and great outdoor space for BBQ and kids to play. Near to everything, but far enough away from Casinos to allow for family time. Hosts were wonderful and responsive. Thank you, we will do this again.

Excellent experience! The owners are very warm, friendly, and inviting.

  • 5 of 5

Very, very good experience overall. The cabin had a very rustic experience and reminded of cabin trips when I was a kid. The cabin is a short (10 min) drive to Eldorado Beach which is nice if you are like me like to avoid the crowd while you are at your cabin relaxing. The neighborhood was also very nice if you like to walk and ride bikes. We did forget some items at the cabin and were contacted by both the housekeeper and the owners. The owners were also kind enough to mail us our items as we were too far to return and retrieve them. This gave me a little extra peace of mind and I would gladly stay again.

Great location, clean and comfortable

  • 5 of 5

This was a great place to stay for a week of hiking in the Tahoe area. A perfect location that allowed for walking to several restaurants. It was also within easy walking distance of a major bus/trolley stop. The accommodations were clean/comfortable and just right for a week long vacation. The neighborhood is quiet and the neighbors are friendly. Easy access to an extensive paved running/biking trail. A grocery store is just minutes away. Do not hesitate to rent from the Reid's. They were responsive to all of our questions and needs.
