Beautiful, historical mansion divided into 5 apartments located in Basilicata, in the center of the medieval hamlet of Brienza (province of Potenza). The apartments have been obtained by the restoration of an old building dating back to the end of 19th century. Most of the original features have been retained during the restoration: doorways with wooden sheds, tiles, indoor walls with exposed stones, terracotta or wooden floors. The property offers attractive terraces facing towards the surrounding countryside and over the tiny rivers “Pergola” and “Fiumicello" crossing the valley.
The A3 motorway connecting Salerno with Reggio Calabria is just 15 km away, providing easy access to the most beautiful areas of Basilicata and Campania.
The owners are always on hand looking after the property and the clients. They will be happy to suggest the best itineraries for unforgettable trips in the surrounding areas.
Distances: the town of Brienza is provided with shops of any kind; amazing historical and natural sites can be easily reached within one hour by car: Certosa di Padula, Grotte (caves) dell'Angelo di Pertosa, the archeological park of Grumento Nova, the archeological site of Rossano di Vaglio, Parco del Pollino, Matera with the famous “Sassi” protected by Unesco, the greek temples of Metaponto and the fantastic coastline of Maratea, also known as ”the pearl of the Tirrhenian Sea”.
At guests’ disposal: beautiful shaded terrace housing an attractive common room offering panoramic views that can be used as a relaxation area or as a breakfast room (on request).
