Well-appointed house; it had everything we needed. Loved opening all the doors and having the evening breezes throughout the house. The view is spectacular. Enjoyed Mango and nearby Neive; easy to get to. We explored the area, and it was a good location to reach many places. Thank you!
Thank You Cathy and Gary.
I hope to see you again.

Modernized farmhouse, amazing views, large property and great owner
We stayed with my parents for four nights in July. The property is gorgeous, recently remodeled and has everything you need. The views from the sitting area over the surrounding vineyards are spectacular, and the location is within easy reach of Alba and the small towns of Barolo, little further to Barbaresco.
The coffee machine is very space age and my Dad enjoyed using it!
Very quiet and peaceful at night.
Would definitely recommend as a base for exploring the wine areas, if you plan to go out at night you'd probably need a car.
Roberta is a great host, very responsive and easy to deal with. Thanks for the stay!
Great home in the center of the Piedmont. Ten minutes from Alba, close to Barbaresco and Barolo. The house has everything needed for a comfortable stay. Well appointed kitchen, washer, comfortable living space. Two large comfortable bedrooms.
Check in process was very easy and convenient. We appreciated the flexibility offered by the manager concerning our check in time.
Loved that the home had an "honor bar" with local wine available in the home!
Would rent again if I were in the area.
Relaxing stay in Mango amongst the vines
This property is beautiful and offers all the facilities you need for a relaxing stay. The views are amazing which you never tire from. Its location is remote which adds to its appeal, but within walking distance to Mango.
If you have the fortune to book this holiday rental, I fail to see how you would be disappointed.
A fantastic place located in awesome Italian wine producing countryside, what more could you wish for.
Dear Steven and Amanda,
thank you for your beautiful feedback and I am very honed to have had you as guests. Hope to see you again in the future.
All the best.
Beautiful location with stunning views.
Well equipped and really enjoyed the espresso machine. Very clean and love our stay in Mango.
Wine country views
We spent five nights in this stunning property in late August to visit local wineries and to enjoy the Piedmont countryside. Our expectations were high based upon the HomeAway photographs and we were not disappointed. The property is located high in the rolling hills with spectacular views of the surrounding countryside. Vineyards were everywhere. Inside are huge wooden beams, marble floors and comfortable furnishings. The modern kitchen had everything necessary to make us feel at home.
The location near Mango is only a short distance from historic Neive and just twenty kilometers from Alba. We have stayed in many HomeAway properties in Europe, and this certainly ranks at or near the top - five stars all the way. Don't miss a visit to the magnificent Dante-Rivetti winery only a few kilometers from Mango. It was a highlight of our trip.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH! I appreciate your feedback.
Have a nice day!

It is believed that Mango already existed in Roman times, with the name of Mangiana Colonia, a toponym cited in the Tabula alimentaria di Traiano. It was originally a military settlement that had the function of supplying food to the imperial veteran troops. Its former soldiers, apparently, founding a colony here, gave rise to the first core of the village, which was permanently inhabited during the following centuries.
A Mango passed one of the numerous "Vie del Sale" that once joined Liguria and Piedmont.
Monuments and places of interest:
Castello dei Marchesi di Busca Baroque building, mighty sober, overlooking the old town. It belonged to the Duke of Mantua until 1714, when it passed under the dominion of the Savoy is home to artistic and cultural events. It houses the Regional Moscato, a tavern and a restaurant.
They were called Frave, Vene, Vaglio, the three castles that after the destruction gave rise to the village of Mango. He had just spent a year Mille. The name of Frave appears in several medieval documents with Fravega form, Fauriis, Fabreis, Fabricas, Fraeis and was an important town because the walls and towers of the castle passed the way "Magistra Langarum" which from Alba, touching Trezzo, Frave, Rocchetta Belbo, for Castino, Cortemilia, ladder and Cairo led to the Riviera. A connection that has left traces in the local cuisine: the vineyards of Langa were leaving the grapes and wines from the Riviera came the fish, salt and oil.
The Mango Castle rises from the foundations of a fortress constructed eminently defensive and strategic functions toward the end of the XIII century, with all the characteristics typical of the period, trenches and underground secrets that were going to come out in the open country, prisons, places of torture. It was for centuries the summer residence of the Marquis of Busca. Luxuriously furnished and with a varied and large garden, the castle has conditioned the development of the entire historical center, as evidenced by the eighteenth-century bell tower of the parish church which stands in a structural alignment with the manor house of Busca.
In the latter stages of the Second World War the Castle of Mango was for some time a partisan garrison. In memory of the events that took place in this territory, in 2001, on the initiative of journalist Raoul Molinari and design by Letizia Rivets, was established in Mango the literary journey called "The Land of Johnny the Partisan", based on the novel Johnny the Partisan Beppe Fenoglio.
Since 1985, the Mango Castle houses the Regional Moscato Hills, the brainchild of the then Mayor Hannibal Depiero and the journalist Raoul Molinari, who was president of the Enoteca same for 15 years.
Since 2007 he is part of the 8 castles Castelli Doc circuit. The network also includes the manors castles of Grinzane Cavour, Barolo, Serralunga d'Alba, Govone, Magliano Alfieri, Roddi and Benevello. It is also inserted in the circuit of "Open Castles" Southern Piedmont.
