Great place for a Truro family gathering!

  • 5 of 5

We loved staying at this house -- it's a very comfortable place with a relaxed, homey atmosphere, and the central location gave us quick easy access to all the wonderful places in Truro, not to mention the fish market and organic vegetables just across the street! Beautiful, spacious deck and sweet view of bunnies in the meadow every morning; well-designed kitchen with lots of room to prepare meals together; great outdoor shower; and plenty of parking space. We will definitely be back!

Great Family Reunion!

  • 5 of 5

Eight of us stayed very comfortably in this great summer house. It was very clean when we arrived and everything was close by - from my favorite ocean beach, Long Point in Truro, to a great fish and lobster store across the street from the house. Spent several enjoyable nights in P-town, 6 miles away. In the large kitchen, we cooked meals together and spent many hours grilling and sitting outside on the deck. We also loved the Netflix and free long distance phone service. The bottle of wine the owners left for us was a welcoming touch! We will definitely stay here again and would recommend this house.

Loved it.

  • 5 of 5

I was having a college reunion with a group of friends and this was the perfect spot. We were three couples and two kids and we all had our own rooms. Being close to the beaches was great because we biked there every day. The house is so spacious that we spent every night cooking in, it saved us a fortune. There is a big open kitchen and dining room but we spent most of our time on the deck having barbeques. Can wait to return.

Enjoyable time

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our week on Cape Cod, as always, and we keep coming back to this house to rent. We found it to be easily located to commercial places nearby, and for us, we found it was easy to cross the street and get to a great lobster place that will prepare, split and clean fresh lobsters, that you can just walk back to your house and eat. Every morning we would walk over to that shopping plaza across the street and get breakfast and a paper. VERY convenient. Also within walking distance were a liquor store, and an ice cream place. The main beach we go to is Head Of The Meadow, one of the best Cape Cod beaches, and that is a mere three minute drive from this house. You can see the sound from the second floor, but not much of a water view. Still, spectacular sunrises and sunsets. Within 15 minutes or so of Provincetown (a must see), and 10 minutes from Wellfleet, so lots around if you are willing to drive a little. This house was open and spacious, and we found to be a comfortable, typical beach house, and when we arrived the house was spotless, and no problems with lawn workers. Although the house is right on Route 6, we did not find the car noise to be any problem, as the main deck with a nice hammock and plenty of room to sit around, faces the back of the house, and we spent most of our time there. I recommend this house to my friends and anyone who would consider renting.

Disappointing

  • 2 of 5

We had a great time in Welfleet and Provincetown. Enjoyed lobster every where and every day. We would definitely do The Cape again, but would not rent this house again. While not technically inaccurate, the description made the house sound far better than it was. You couldn't see the water without effort, two of the bedrooms are tiny and none could be defined as a suite. The deck is tiny or overfurnished, as you couldn't walk around the table. The house is on the extremely noisy main highway that you could not walk across to get to the closeby fishmarket or restaurant. You couldn't really walk anywhere, nor was it close to the beach or Truro. We had to clean sand off the floors, clean the bathrooms, and wash the mattress pads before we could unpack. The lawn guy showed up at dinnertime on Monday and left grass clippings on the walkway.
