Lovely 3 bedroom, 2 Bath home directly on the water
About Jane Wieder
We are a family of 4, transplanted from New York City, lured by the beautiful countryside and lifestyle of Sherman. We owned a vacation home in Sherman for 15 years before ultimately calling it home. We purchased this vacation rental to share our love of the area with friends and renters who want to discover why we love the area so much. We live nearby and can offer customized recommendations to meet your preferences and hopes for a memorable vacation.
Jane Wieder purchased this Cottage in 2013
Why Jane Wieder chose Sherman
We bought this vacation rental property because of its ideal location both on the lake and in the town of Sherman. It is close by so we can help renters as needed. It is situated nicely on the property with views of the lake and close proximity to town.
What makes this Cottage unique
It is all about the view, the beautiful relaxing interior space and being on the water. Bar none, people approach with appreciation for the location, the charm and the peace and serenity.

We loved this lake cottage. Pictures are accurate. 3rd room has twin beds and other 2 have queen beds. One bathroom is down stairs but for 2 couple it works great. Jane was fabulous and a great hostess and very thoughtful. Cozy home. Comfy beds and great water pressure. Fully stocked kitchen. Will definitely stay here again.
Excellent house for family!
This house was excellent! Located in a wooded beautiful area the home provides a great space to enjoy the serenity of the lake, nature and outdoors. The home also has everything you could ever need in a home, blankets, towels, paddle boards, kayaks, fire pit etc. We brought our boat there and the depth up to the property is about 6 ft in the area which was plenty deep to keep a boat.
Overall the stay was excellent and Comfortable.
Jane’s home was the ideal getaway for me and my girlfriends. Just a short drive from NYC. Perfect location. Perfect weekend.
The Candlewood Experience
What a great house for a vacation at Candlewood Lake. Everything was perfect and Jane made our stay most enjoyable. If you like fishing or relaxing and getting some sun out on the dock, then you will find this house & property has all that you need. The house is clean and has all the amenities that you will need and you are 10 minutes away from anything else you may need commercially. Thank you Jane, we had a great time! *** Steve
