Beautiful, dreamy property in a fantastic location
We stayed here with our 13 month old (there are stairs and a pool, which is why the property owner lists it as unsuitable for kids -- we asked and it was fine!). The cottage is lovely, beautiful garden views, and the larger property is amazing -- the pool and gardens are so relaxing. Note that the pool is deep, so if you are bringing a child, you will want some sort of floater). The owners were friendly and helpful, and Trigny is well located to explore the vineyards of Champagne.
A second trip to Trigny!
We enjoyed our second visit to this lovely cottage on a charming property in the center of the beautiful and authentic village of Trigny. The host and hostess, Alexandre and Nicole, are extremely helpful and accommodating, and there are several excellent restaurants nearby. The drive to Rheims in less than 20 minutes, and lots to do there. And of course, the countryside around Trigny is spectacular. We highly recommend this "getaway".
Perfect location for exploring Champagne.
Thank you to Alexandre for making us so welcome. A stunning location ,in this very pretty area. The cottage was very comfortable and tastefully decorated. The garden was beautiful. Alexandre was a very entertaining host and we are so grateful to him for making our champagne tasting session so informative and entertaining.
The perfect location to unwind. The cottage, located on the grounds of an estate in a small village, has everything you need to relax while enjoying the surrounding area. Even with high temperatures, the cottage remained cool. And having the pool available was the icing on the cake.
Groceries and wine as well as an amazing bakery and restaurants are all within an easy five minute drive.
Your hosts will answer any questions and recommend activities to meet your interests. They are perfect at being helpful without being intrusive. We thoroughly enjoyed our week and want to return, to at least finish the stack of books Alexandre lent us at the beginning of our stay.
Most Enjoyable in Recent Memory
Thanks to our hosts and the lovely weather, our week in Trigny was the most enjoyable European visit we can recall, certainly the most enjoyable of our numerous visits to France. Alexandre and Nicola Gros were, from the moment we arrived, helpful with details regarding recommendations and directions for of our traveling about the area, and generally gracious with their hospitality.
Our cottage was not only comfortable in every respect but also surrounded by absolutely beautiful gardens. A mass of every resident rose bush appeared to be in bloom! And most noteworthy for two Americans accustomed to massive and almost constant traffic noise the peace and quiet of the village generally was soothing to our souls, to say the least.
My wife Linda Rountree and I - on our long flight back to the US - agreed we had already fond memories and felt also we had acquired new friends in Alexandre and Nicola. We were simply fortunate to have such friendly, intelligent, and generally sophisticated hosts willing to share their fascinating histories and careers.
We hope there will be for us a future visit to Trigny soon. For the time being, we have our pictures and our memories to fall back on.
May future visitors to this cottage find it as pleasant and beautiful as did we. Many thanks for sharing it.

Just as imagined
Alexander and his beautiful wife have few equals as host. There when needed but unobtrusive in every other way. Also they know the areas and it’s extensive history and have the inside line on some gorgeous champagne.
The home was comfortable and located in a small classic village but within 20 minutes of Rhiems and 1:30 of Paris
ideal location for Champagne wine tourism, playing golf, visiting famous museums, churches and historic monuments related to both World wars.
