Amazing cottage & location

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in this cottage recently for a long weekend. The cottage is beautiful, arranged over 3 floors very tastefully decorated having a seaside/nautical decor. The views from all rooms are amazing over Runswick bay and it is so relaxing. There is a friendly local pub with log burning stove literally next door which serves local ales and very nice food, we ate in there 2 nights and the other night we went up to the pub at the top of the hill which is also lovely.

There was a home-baked cake and various other things left for us as a welcome to the cottage, I would highly recommend a stay here. The only thing I will advise which is also mentioned on the website is there is very limited ceiling height in the upstairs bedroom & the staircase is a bit tricky to get up and down but it is a beautiful bedroom with the best views so as long as you take extra care with the stairs and be careful not to bang your head then it is fine.

During the winter months the car park a few yards away is free until 1st March so this is a bonus as Runswick is always difficult to park, I understand in the summer months you can use the free car park pass for 1 car.

We will definitely visit here again, thank you Sarah for a lovely stay!

Stunning views and perfect location

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for a long weekend in snowy January and we had the best weekend. The house is so practical and Sarah goes above and beyond with what is provided. We were so pleasantly surprised! We took two small children with us and the house worked really well and the location was ideal. Would definitely love to come back. Thank you so much Sarah!

This property has everything you need for a relaxing break. The owners went that extra mile to ensure the place looked fantastic with little touches here and there to make our stay enjoyable. The views are amazing.

Fabulous location, very cosy and inviting, even a well appreciated welcome drink, cake and nibbles. Would certainly recommend galleon cottage.

A beautiful gem of a place

  • 5 of 5

We found this property beautifully presented and spotlessly clean. Exceptionally well equipped. We have stayed at Runswick Bay for many years, and this property certainly one of the best, wish we found it sooner. The view is amazing looking out to sea we could have sit there for hours! Despite the poor weather Galleon house was warm and cosy. Thank you to Sarah for all the lovely welcome gifts, we will certainly book again.

Fanastic weekend in Runswick Bay

  • 5 of 5

From the time of booking Sarah could not have done more, she is a pleasure to deal with. We arrived on Friday lunch time and the cottage was fantastic and so clean, the view is something money cant buy......but you can buy it for a weekend or short stay.

Sarah left so many little treats for us including popcorn, crisps, milk, wine, jam, butter, bread and the list goes on.

The pub is next door which we also enjoyed.

I would like to go back every weekend if we could.

Kind Regards

Mark & Lynn
