Perfect property and perfect, tranquil setting with lovely owners to boot! What more could we have asked for! The lodge itself is so tastefully decorated, was spotlessly clean and really well equipped. The owners, Annette and Barry were lovely and around if we needed anything. We arrived to milk, cake, wine and a bottle of Annette’s Sloe Gin, along with lots of extras such as mayo, ketchup, foil and other items. The owners really have thought of everything. I’m almost reluctant to leave a review as would prefer this perfect place was kept a secret! We will certainly be staying again. Thank you Annette and Barry for looking after us so well and for a really lovely stay.
Wonderful hosts, wonderful Lodge, wonderful Devon
We absolutely loved are recent stay at Barn Owl Lodge. Annette and Barry (and Mylo the dog) are the perfect hosts, not intrusive but always on hand if you need any info etc. We received a very warm welcome, and the fresh homemade cream teas, wine, and Annette's homemade Sloe Gin were all much appreciated. The lodge is in a great location, a short walk to Bantham Beach (and the Sloop Inn, nice food, would also recommend the Winking Prawn in North Sands), and with many amazing coastal walks all close by. The walk from East Soar along the coast to the NT Overbeck's was a favourite, especially for the Walker Hut honesty cafe on route. The beaches at Milton Sands and Wembury (great rock pools) were also very good. A week just wasn't enough to explore everything, we will definitely be back soon.
Thankyou for your lovely review, so glad you all enjoyed your stay.
Loved having you, come back anytime.
Beautiful, clean, lovely hosts that are so friendly and welcoming.
Very comfortable and fantastic location.
Stayed at this property over Christmas 2018. Annette and Barry could not have been more welcoming (even at an 11pm late arrival,) Christmas decorations, stollen cake, wine, crackers and Annette's own Sloe Gin. Barn Owl Lodge is extremely well appointed and comfortable with all necessary equipment for a home from home stay. The location is ideal for all the best beaches in the area. We had a marvelous Christmas break.
Had the most wonderful stay at the lodge. Everything perfect and exceeded all our expectations and wouldn't hesitate to stay again when visiting the area.
Awesome spacious modern accommodation - we loved it.
Everything about this property was great. Location, facilities, cleanliness - all brilliant. The owners were very welcoming and friendly but, also respected your privacy. I can't wait to book my next holiday here.
