Lovely bright cosy top floor flat
We loved staying in Laura’s bright and cosy top floor flat. Laura was very friendly and helpful over the booking and had left a welcoming array of goodies to help us settle in. The flat was sparklingly clean and pretty throughout, with everything we needed. The flat is flooded with light most of the day and the location is terrific - in one of Edinburgh's most charming streets, just across from the gorgeous Golden Hare bookshop and in the heart of Stockbridge (as many great cafés and cheese shops as you could wish for; we became particularly obsessed with the cinnamon buns at Soderberg!) Edinburgh's beautiful Botanic Gardens and the restored Victorian Glenogle swimming baths are a short walk away. We stayed with our school-age children, but it would also have been perfect for just the two of us. I hope we’ll be back!
It was a absolutely wonderful!
My friend and I rented this lovely two bedroom flat for a week and we hated to leave. Laura and Catriona were such wonderful hostesses and we so appreciated their kindness. They had coffee and milk and delicious snacks waiting for us. The Stockbridge neighborhood is charming. There are so many shops and pubs and restaurants on the street and nearby. The bus is so easy to use and the bus stop is just down the street. The flat is lovely, so cozy and the location is so convenient. We would highly recommend this accommodation to our friends.
Cosy flat in an interesting area. Friendly locals. If you are ok on your feet it's great to explore & easy to get to the guided tour buses etc. Description accurate & some items kindly put in the property for us to enjoy.
Cozy flat in great location
We loved our stay here. The proprietors were responsive and helpful. Great neighborhood and within easy walking distance of city center. Our only complaint is that the living room furniture is not comfortable. Recommend re-stuffing the cushions.
Dear Mamie, thank you very much - I think your comment might specifically have meant the little early 19th c Victorian wingback chair recent added. It’s lovely but the small cushion is not plump whereas the the sofa and armchair suite are. I’m grateful for your comments though and may now consider either replacing the small wing back fourth chair or taking it for a 20th century update! Thanks again and best wishes, Laura
Cosy, elegant flat in cool neighbourhood
My husband, son and I spent a few days in this lovely, cosy flat...I highly recommend this apartment to anyone looking for an elegant, comfortable and convenient place to stay in Edinburgh.
Thank you ever so much! with best and thanks, Laura
