Steps away from Dante Alighieri’s birthplace, in the heart of Florence...
Recently renewed, this lovely apartment is situated in the very heart of Florence, between Piazza della Signoria and the Duomo. The apartment is composed by 3 bedrooms (1 double, 1 with two single beds, and 1 with an easy-convertible sofa bed for two people), 2 bathrooms, a spacious living room and a marble kitchen.
You will enjoy preparing your meals in the fully equipped kitchen, or relaxing on the sofa in the living room, while taking advantage of the panoramic view on the most important landmarks of Florence: Duomo, Palazzo Vecchio, Campanile di Giotto.
The apartment is provided with all the facilities you can expect, such as WI-FI connection, Air Conditioning, washing machine and dishwasher, flat screen TV, microwave, toaster, hairdryer, ironing board and iron.

Great Location! Lots of room.
This apartment is located on the 4th floor of Via Dante #8. We were 3 couples who stayed here, My wife and I along with my 2 adult children and spouses. Lots of room for everyone. There is one en suite bedroom, one pull out couch double, and two single beds in the 3rd bedroom. The apartment is as pictured. As Jane noted, no microwave but the oven was quick and handy to reheat left over pizza!.
There is no lift, 4 flights of steep stairs so be warned. It is a trade off for the wonderful location. It is located halfway between the Duomo and Palazzo Vecchio, with a grocery, Cafe's and restaurants literally steps away. The kids really enjoyed the pub King Grizzly in Piazza de Cimatori to the Right exiting the apartment. There was a Caffe' in the piazza to the Left where we had espresso and pastry every morning.
The beds were on par for other beds we have experienced in Italian apartments. They lean toward the hard side. The pull out was a thin mattress, but the mid 20 year olds were fine with it. Especially on since Dad paid for it. However, if it were another couple in their 50's paying an equal share as the one taking the en suite...Two rooms overlooked Via Dante, which is busy and can get loud at night. I use sleep music that repeats for the flight over from the USA and at night in the apartments. It did drown out most of the noise, but there was occasional shouts and singing late at night.
The clothes washer worked great, as did all the other appliances. Line dry clothes, and an inside rack was provided. The Wi Fi worked without an issue in the apartment. All the utensils you could want were in the apartment. Towels and bedding were in the apartment. There were 6 big towels in the apartment. If you have 6 people, everyone gets one. As Jane noted in here review, the water pressure is adequate, but not overwhelming.
I noticed a few adaptors left for your use. I did not see a convertor, but there was a hair dryer for your use. If you have need of a personal appliance, I would bring the required adaptor and or convertor just in case. We saw air conditioners in most rooms, but since it was mid April, we did not use it.
Check in was easy. You will need to call on the day of arrival even if you have set up a time to meet. Check out was easy too, simply leave the keys and close the door.
As a family of 6 we appreciate a bit of room and this apartment provided ample space. It is a beautiful apartment with loads of character. The pictures of the view don't really do it justice. The views are great. The kitchen is big with all you need but a microwave would have been handy. The heated floors and over all heating was great. The water pressure was not good but this can happen in Italy. There a four flights of stairs and no elevator but that did not bother us. The supermarket is nearly next door which was very handy. The location is amazing but when you are in the middle of it all you do need to expect some street noise which effects two bedrooms at night. Also you are between two bell towers. We had a love/hate relationship with the bells ringing. We did love the bells, after all you are in Florence. Over all we loved this place and highly recommend it and would definitely stay here again. Thanks to Nick who gave us lots of hints and was there to meet us on arrival.
