About Nikki & Rob
We are busy working parents with two teenage girls and a cute Westie called Maisie. We love travelling, sightseeing, eating out and taking Maisie on long country walks. We have owned Stanley Cottage since 2002 and have always tried to make it somewhere special to visit with family and friends.
Nikki & Rob purchased this Cottage in 2002

A delightful stay in this well-equipped and maintained house. Excellent location.
A great base for short or longer breaks. Very comfortable house for all seasons. Good amenities nearby.
Fantastic house with all amenities in scenic village.
Spent 4 days here, lovely house much larger than i imagined, very comfortable. Cute village location, easy for local walks or short drives to seaside.
Beautiful, clean and lovely location
What can I say. Just got back from a 4 night stay. The place is immaculate and is fully fitted and stocked with all your essentials pretty much.
Even down to milk and tea bags and dishwasher tablets.
The rooms are so pretty and I especially loved the master bedroom in the top floor with the Juliet balcony. I spent time up there just sat in the chair looking at the view with a G&T.
The small outside area is also well equipped and the river running behind the cottage is just beautiful. Couldn’t ask for more apart from better weather.... The pub across the road was warm and friendly and the food was great. Wish I had time to explore more.
I would definitely book this cottage again
The cottage was wonderful, very clean, well equipped, comfortable and in a peaceful location. Lovely pub over the road, good food and very helpful staff.
Lovely well equipped Cottage.
Ideal Location, Lovely cosy and well equipped cottage we had a lovely mini break visiting in and around Tipton st John. This property is well maintained and is ideal for couple or families alike . Very friendly local residents as are Nikki & Rob. We will definitely return.

Lovely cottage set in small village and surrounded by beautiful countryside.
We have just returned from a lovely holiday in Devon. The property was perfect for our family: 2 parents, 2 children and Nana.
The kitchen is finished to a very high spec, and is very well equipped, with everything you need to prepare a family meal.
The rest of the house is also finished to a very good standard too. Outside there is a small decked patio area. Everything was spotlessly clean and the owner had left some very helpful finishing touches, such as milk, coffee, tea, biscuits, dishwasher tabs, washing up liquid, maps and tourist information etc.
Just a short stroll from the cottage are open fields with miles and miles of lovely dog walks. One morning we even watched an otter fishing for his breakfast about a 10 minute walk from the cottage.
The village has a small shop and a pub opposite. We experienced no noise at all from the pub, and often it had closed for the night by the time I took the dog for her last walk at night around 10:00 pm.
There is loads to do in the surrounding area. We particularly liked visiting Sidmouth and Beer. The dog particularly enjoyed the donkey sanctuary and Becky Falls (as did the family).
We would definitely stay here again if visiting the area.
