Guestbook comments from the owner

After much reseach our group of four deciced on Podere Lucignano Secondo Agritutismo. We had the large three bedroom section of this building. The physical location is excellent, the furnishings are wonderful, the grounds are beautiful, the family ownership and management is competent, accomodating, and fair. Of couse we had a rental car and had come doen form Lake Como. This villa is a great base of operations to visit many of the sights around, all within driving distance. Or just spend quiet nights and days at the villa. What a wonderful experience to book this villa and create great memories.

Beautiful and relaxing--a great place to unwind

  • 5 of 5

Our stay at Le Logge was wonderful and our hosts could not have been more gracious, wish we could have stayed longer. The villa is in a great secluded location that allows you to get away from everything. The accommodations were five star. Four of stayed at the villa for eight days and it could have comfortably accommodated six adults. The property is ideally located for a day trip to Florence, shopping or dinner in Siena, or visits to the many wineries in the area. Highly recommend the taste of Tuscany dinner prepared by our host Enzo and served by his exceptional sons. The property is an old farm property that was exceptionally renovated with as much attention payed to the surrounding grounds and gardens that offer beautiful views of vineyards and olive groves. We would go back again in a heartbeat and recommend it to all. Thanks for letting us rent your property Enzo and Liliana--you have a great property and family!!!

Perfection in Tuscany

  • 5 of 5

The Lucignano Secondo was amazing. The perfect location to explore Tuscany and such a lovely atmosphere to come back to after a day of sight seeing. We felt completely at home from the second we arrived. Even though we ended up arriving 30 minutes earlier than anticipated, Duccio and Enzo were there to welcome us and help us to get settled in right away. The house was so clean and the property just gorgeous. The pictures don't do it justice. It was just what we needed after 4 busy days in bustling Rome. We will stay here again, hopefully soon!

One week in Tuscany Spring

  • 5 of 5

Warm welcome at Lucignano Secondo although it was raining on our arrival.

Perfect location in a quiet spot under big pine trees. Clean and cosy apartment 'Le Logge' on the first floor. We felt very comfortable in the house. Kitchen was fully equipped, we had all we needed. Big Supermarket Coop is located in Siena about 17 km away. Smaller shops in Pianella 3 km.

All questions and information about what to see and to do, Duccio is the man for! Thanks to the Rossi family Enzo, Liliana, Duccio and Max

Amazing Views, Fantastic Location!

  • 5 of 5

Just returned to U.S. after having spent six days at this most FANTASTIC property. We rented the entire villa and really enjoyed the privacy it allowed us, both inside and out.

The outside is everything you imagine a Tuscan villa to be. As you enter through the private gate and down the gravel drive (exquisitely lit at night), the villa slowly becomes visible just before you bear right to the small parking area near the the late 19th century tool shed. Then a short walk down a rock paved lead brings you to the gorgeous property. Stop. Drink it in. Take a deep breath, and remind yourself: this is not a dream!

There are three outdoor sitting areas. The largest seats probably 8-10 people and overlooks the vineyard. The view from this patio is spectacular! (This is the patio with the oval table pictured on the website.) The smallest of the three is just outside the dining room door and may have been my favorite. It too overlooks the vineyard, but is small and quaint. (This is the white iron table and chairs, pictured on the website.) We enjoyed coffee and mimosas, not to mention the sounds of nature, in this spot almost every morning.

The inside is, in our opinion, even more charming. Remarkably clean. From the old wood doors to the old wooden windows and shutters, from the hardware on those doors and windows to the tile floors and what used to be an old trough that runs the entire length of the living and dining room (on the first floor--obviously!), the property has been meticulously restored and refurbished. The beauty of this property is simply breathtaking. It truly is.

A word about the family who owns the property. They are kind, generous and remarkably good people. If you rent this property, you will NOT BE disappointed.

Belllisma!

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay very much. It was so lovely. It was very late when we arrived, due to an Air Traffic Controllers strike in Paris and cancelled flights etc. I was a little concerned about finding it in the dark, but Max and Duccio were kind enough to meet us and we followed them in. We were very thankful. The Villa was well appointed-we lacked nothing (except ice-we were never able to find it at Pam or the COOP. Some additional ice trays for the freezer might be in order) We spent 3 of our evenings on the wonderful patio dining al fresco and drinking delicious Chianti wines. It was very near to Sienna and a well suited location for what we wanted to do in Tuscany. Next time we will stay for a month!

AMAZING!!!

  • 5 of 5

Our stay was even more amazing than we had imagined. I am recommending this villa to all of my family and friends! And I would love to go back one day. It’s perfectly restored and maintained and very clean. In a very private setting set back from the road down a gated driveway. The owners greeted us at the villa with homemade goodies for our stay. We prearranged for the Tuscan dinner prepared for us at the villa. It was worth every penny! DEFINITELY do the dinner! It was delicious and at least 7 courses. I can’t stop talking about our stay. Thank you again Enzo, Liliana, Ducco, and Max. It’s obvious what pride you take in your family villa and in making the experience unforgettable for your guests. We hope to see you again one day. Ciao.
