Why Jonathan & Chloe' Crouch chose Mena
We have lived in this community of friendly people and quiet roads most of our lives .... its a pleasant experience that we hope will be enjoyed by others.
What makes this Cottage unique
Woodland Cottage was built in the 1950s by a colorful and somewhat eccentric lady and her husband. They had a real zest for life and were loaded with personality, laughter, warmth and practicality.... it is all reflected in the design layout and feel of this unique and quaint little cottage. We feel you will just love a relaxing get away here...so book your stay... come on down, over or up ...... we'll be glad to have ya!

Very quaint and comfortable property!
Our stay at the Crouch's cabin in Mena was very nice. The property was clean and well kept, and the amenities around the property made for a very nice stay.
Pleasant Little Place
2 adults, 4 kids and 3 dogs and we love every second of this place. Cozy and comfortable! UNIQUE! Felt like walking into grandmas house. Owners are kind and easy to work with. Highly recommended this place and intend on coming back ourselves!!!
Quant and cozy getaway
The woodland cottage was absolutely perfect. Quany and cozy, a real getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. It was clean and well stocked. The owners are amazing and helpful. The land is nestled at the edge of the Natural forest, providing excellent hiking and views. No cell, tv or internet service was a welcome change. We really got to spend our vacation enjoying each other and the local area. We will definitely be coming back to this one.
Very clean and very unique property!
Sitting outside would have been awesome and peaceful but mother nature did not want to cooperate!
Rustic charming cabin in the woods
This place is as described. It is rustic and charming. Upon arrival, the place was spotless and stocked with essentials. Grocery stores are close. Hiking can be done right from the property. Kids had a great time just running around and exploring around the cabin. We also enjoyed making s’mores at night in the fire pit and watching dvds. There is no cell service or or WiFi. We saw this as a positive and took the time to unplug. The highlight of our trip was going to Little Missouri Falls. It is about an hours drive away but we felt was well worth it. Pretty drive into the mountains once you enter the National Forest. Nice picnic areas and marked trails around the falls. Beautiful scenes. Kids loved walking around on all the rocks. This is a must see in this area. Our 10 year old daughter thought it was “amazing”!
Woodland Cottage was the perfect setting for our sisters getaway last week.
Perched on a hill in the woods near Mena, and surrounded by gorgeous trees in fall colors and beautiful towering pines, this quaint little cottage was our “home” while exploring northwestern Arkansas and the Talimena National Byway. The cottage was very warm, cozy and safe, and was equipped with everything needed for a convenient stay. The cottage was very rustic, yet clean. Jonathan was very informative and accommodating, and just a phone call away. It stormed a couple of times while we were there, which caused the little brook on the property to flow, and we enjoyed that. There was easy access to the cottage even after the heavy rains. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed visiting the Mena area. People were so friendly, courteous, and helpful every place we went. We enjoyed the art and antique stores and the restaurants had delicious food. Having Woodland Cottage to come back to each day was truly a pleasure!
