Great value, and fenced in yard for dogs
We are repeat customers, so that is a good review in itself. We visit family but have two dogs so need a place to stay and prefer a fenced in yard. The house is clean, has updated shower, is comfortable, though it is a little crowded with chairs, and a small bedroom. The area is quiet and convenient to major roads. And the price is right. We’ll be back.
If one likes to fish - great location directly on 10 mile canal. - large catches. Enjoyed the tropical yard space between the detached lenai and the canal watching the boats cruise by. We booked this in large part for our dog - fenced in yard. It's actually subdivided into 2 fully fenced sections. Ideal if you have a dog. "Old Florida" style living accurately reflects the age of the house, with some updates. The bathroom is newer and well done for the space. The walls though out are full of interesting art pieces and other visual items. The place is very small. For 2 adults it worked. Had temporarily moved some decorative items off of flat surfaces to give us room to put things down like tablets/phones/purchases/etc. The owner's we haven't met as they gave us instructions on how to access the keys to the house and the very sparse directions upon exit - just the way we like it. Appreciated them giving us our space to show up, enjoy the place, and leave. The communications with them were positive. Notes to the owner's - there are plenty of decorative items throughout the house. I'd remove all decorative items from flat surfaces in the bathroom, around the TV, etc to make it feel a bit more roomy and to make it more functional. A couple of the chairs and throw pillows being removed would also enhance the space. The ceiling tiles in the main area are a relatively cheap replace and would make a world of difference. Overall - appreciated the experience & the central location between the Fort Meyer/Sanibel beaches to the north and the Naples beaches to the south.
Easy access and really nice home. Kitchen very comfortable with all the necessities. Thank you
Cozy, canal cottage
Our second year, and just as nice as the first! Although the cottage is somewhat small, the kitchen is well equipped, and plenty of linens, very nice. The four of us spent most of our time outside, or in the detached lanai, which is an added bonus! Right on the canal, so spent a lot of time fishing! Friendly neighbors, great neighborhood, made for a relaxing vacation. Thanks again Susan & Doug
Home was perfect for us as it was just a couple of blocks from our friends place so we could walk. Also it is quick and easy to get anywhere. My only complaint is that we had a late arrival which was relayed to the owner. There was no exterior lights left on so when we arrived a 10 pm we were left stumbling around in complete darkness trying to find keys and doors. Also as one other reviewer stated a little too much furniture in the home to climb around. Wouldn’t hesitate recommending or rebooking here again.
Was good but generator running all day dredging canal was very annoying. COULD USE A SECOND TV.
Was good and our 2 dogs loved it. A pool membership would be nice.
Local access to almost anything you could need/want within 20-30 min. drive
