What a great place this was to stay. We've stayed at places run by Pat before and never been let down and always been made to feel welcome. When we've had a problem (which have never been big problems) Pat has always been at hand to sort it out and to make sure that our holiday has been a really good one. Don't let her inexpensive prices think that you are getting something not up to the mark, you will be very pleasantly surprised. Should you find that this place is booked contact her anyway, she may be able to sort something else for you.
In regards to the actual house, we had seen the pictures and thought it looked like it would do the job for us, but I have to say they really didn't do this place justice. Its a great place! When you think about the number of places you have to just relax in the house/garden its amazing. Take your pick from the lounge, the living room, the terrace, the patio or by the pool. We were a party of 4 and wow did it feel spacious. It does easily sleep 8 and I don't think even that many people would feel on top of each other.
The only 2 small issues are:
1 - No Air Conditioning, but when you've got the pool there, who cares.
2 - Parking. You need to park up the road a little, but again that's a small small sacrifice for what you are getting.
As for the town, its great for taking the family, there's plenty of restaurants and the beaches (a little hard to find, but you will) are really nice, clean and not at all over crowded. I would say that you would need a car to navigate about (its not a short walk to the beaches), but I'm sure you could cope without. This is the sort of place the Spanish will go away to for their holidays, so its no Benidorm, but in my opinion thats a good thing.
Would I recommend this place? Absolutely I would and if I get the chance, yes I will be going again.
a lovely comfortable property
Stayed in this property in April it was mixed weather but we were warm inside plenty of heaters. comfortable beds plenty of room everything one would require...it was home from home. the pool is fab....it really is a lovely propertywhen you see the outside dont worry wait until u get inside......we had a lovely holiday and will be back...the owners supplied us with groceries,,,,Car needed restaurant 3 mins awaymlovely beaches.....superb
Oliva is a typically Spanish town a short drive away from the bustling cosmopolitan towns of Gandia and Denia. It is situated in the heart of the orange growing area of the Costa Azahar. To the north lies the beautiful city of Valencia which is easily accessible by car or train and to the south there is Benidorm with it's many theme parks and attactions
