- Caltagirone with its ancient villas and famous pottery;
- The sea with the beach at Gela Macchitella;
- The Gela Museum with its important collection of Greek coins.
About an hour away is Mount Etna where you can also plan a trip around the volcano on board the old railroad cars (1937) of the Circumetnea train line where you can make a fascinating journey through the ancient lava flows, the landscapes moon and then stop for a lunch in one of the picturesque villages crossed by the line.
You can also easily reach Agrigento and its virgin coastline ( "Scala dei Turchi", with its amazing white cliffs of salt, the nature reserve of Torre Salsa and Siculiana Marina, for example) and the ancient city Naro (km 70) and its Castello di Chiaramonte, or, in the east, the beautiful baroque city and UNESCO sites Ragusa, Modica (also famous for its tradition in the working chocolate) and Scicli.
