Lovely house for a great holiday!

  • 5 of 5

This is a beautiful house that has everything you could possibly need. It is very tidy and welcoming. We (6 adults, one toddler) felt immediately at home. The house exceeded our expectation and the people that own it are very friendly. It was a great base for our week in Killarney. We liked that it was in a quiet neighbourhood. Although it was a bit further to walk to the town centre than we anticipated (10-15 min.), but we did walk with a toddler, so that might have had something to do with it.

During our week in Killarney we visited Killarney itself, Killarney National Park, Ross Castle, Muckross House and gardens, the Ring of Kerry, the Gap of Dunloe, Dingle and the Dingle peninsula (we loved Inch beach!). We had great meals at the Danny Mann Pub in Killarney, Jam in Kenmare (tea time!), The Butlers Arms in Waterville, Cul Gairdin Wholefood Café in Dingle, the tea room at Muckross House and Murphy's ice cream of course. It was a fantastic holiday and if we go back, we will definitely book this house again.

Nice holidays in Killarney

  • 4 of 5

The accommodation is in a nice an quiet area with a big garden behind. Only 10-15 minutes to the city and only 5-10 minutes to the national park.

Kitchen is with very good equipment. All rooms were clean and the owner John gave good customer service.

I will recommend that property to friends.

All in we were very satisfied for having that propertiy for that price.

Lovely home that met all expectations

  • 5 of 5

We had a great stay at this home during our family holiday this Easter. 2 Grandparents, 2 parents and 2 children enjoyed the comfortable and clean home away from home while enjoying the beautiful surroundings. Great runs to the park or town and so much to do near by. Thanks John.

Owner's Response: Kevin, thank you so much for your review. We are delighted you enjoyed the house and your stay with us. Location is ideal for visiting the National Park, as Ross Castle and the Demense are so near for running and walking. And of course the weather was great that week which is always a huge bonus. We hope you will return at another time. Regards John

The perfect place to stay

  • 5 of 5

When looking for a place to stay in Killarney we found this house on the internet. We were a group of six in the ages between 22 and 24.

The house is overall in a really good shape and it was really comfotable. It is located near the national park in a really quiet part of Killarney. Every room was clean and comfortable. In the cozy living room we had a TV and DVD player. There even is a chimney. But we didn't use it because it was summer. The kitchen is very well equipped and we used it to cook some meals.

Starting from the house we could walk to the centre of Killarney in about 10 minutes. The national park is located right next to it. In Killarney we easily found a lot of places to buy stuff for dayli use and a lot of pubs. We also did tours to the beautiful Gap of Dunloe, Ross Castle, Innisfallen island, several times hiking in the national park and Cork (we didnt like Cork...).

After our stay in Killarney we travelled to Dublin for a few days which also was a great city. But if we recall our memories on Ireland we only think of Killarney and the nature. Dublin was also really nice but it didn't stand out too much.

If we decide to revisit Ireland we would definitely choose Killarney again and book this house. It was a perfect stay for a really good price. (aaaand John and Evelyn are lovely people!)

Wunderschönes Haus

  • 5 of 5

Katy from Massachussetts

  • 5 of 5

This property was just perfect, clean, pretty, close to town and just a few minutes walk to beautiful Ross Castle. I would highly recommend this house to anyone who would like a quiet spot but close enough to daytime shopping and sightseeing and also close enough to walk to pubs for evening entertainment.

John was a very gratious and attentive host addressing all our questions and concerns.

Thank you again John for allowing us to stay in your wonderful house.

Can't wait to return.

Located on a quite cul de sac off the Ross Road, a 2 minute drive to Killarney town centre or a 10 minute stroll. Killarney is an ideal base to tour the whole of the South West of Ireland. Many of the wonderful sights are within an hours drive of Killarney & this house. Killarney is also a great place for an evening with lots of great restaurants (to suit most budgets) & pubs with great atmosphere. The house actually borders onto the amazing Killarney National Park. Bikes can be rented locally & this is a great way to see the local sights.
