The “Mas de Font- Roc”(“Mas” means typical large impressive house in Provence) is a XVIII century “Mas” restored and decorated combining modern functionality and traditions of Provence. It is located in a delightful and peaceful spot within walking distance of the village of Lourmarin.

“Font-Roc” is surrounded by a typically provençal vegetation made of hundred years old oak trees, olive tree and cherry tree fields and rows of lavender. The “Mas” is dotted with a protected swimming pool, shady arbors, old stone fountains, and several terraces ideal for soaking up the sun peacefully. This is an ideal place to enjoy tranquility and privacy in beautiful nature.

This “Mas in Provence” is luxuriously appointed with refined decoration. There are 4 large double bedrooms, each of which has its own large bathroom. Bedrooms and bathrooms are furnished with fine quality sheets and towels. Cleaning staff on request.

From the two large living rooms and the summer barbecue dinning room, you can enjoy a wonderful view of the village of Lourmarin and its Renaissance Chateau.

The “Mas de Font-Roc” combines the tranquility and seclusion of the world famous Luberon countryside with the welcoming, colorful and friendly traditions of Provence.

Beautiful house in a wonderful location

We had a truly excellent stay at the Font-Roc. The villa is a very charming and authentic provencal mas. Its design is quirky in places and it has clearly been a well-loved family home which makes it feel all the more welcoming. The separate gated pool area was fantastic and we spent a lot of fun time round the pool. There is lots of natural stone and the water is a very beautiful jade colour.

The gardens and view of the Chateau de Lourmarin are glorious and the outside covered dining area is a great amenity (and there are lots of other areas around the house to have an aperitif or lunch). There is a pleasant pathway to the village through some vineyards to the chateau (great if you want to avoid the influx of cars when the town's amazing market is in full swing).

The kitchen is very well equipped with ice-making fridge, proper Nespresso machine and all the utensils you could need. The housekeeper who greeted us was very helpful, the bathrooms and kitchen were impeccably clean and there were plenty of towels and spare bedlinen etc. if required. It’s on a main road which we thought might be an issue but the plot is set far back and is extremely well screened so you wouldn't really know it when you are in the gardens or by the pool – rather, it means that the property is easier to find and makes it simpler to get in to the village and elsewhere. We hope to return and thoroughly recommend it.

Beautiful house with amazing garden

We spent 2 weeks in this beautiful spot and enjoyed the huge and idyllic garden every day. There are several lovely terraces for each time of the day, the pool area is spacious and great for relaxing, playing or swimming. House and garden were very well maintained. You can reach the village with some good restaurants and shops within 15 minutes in a small walk through hidden paths and besides the vineyards, and there are nice markets in and around Lourmarin.

We would definitely recommend the house for families or a small group of people. Thank you Francoise for this wonderful authentic experience!

Fantasique Maison

Nous avons passé un séjour Fantastique au mas de Font-Roc. Tout, là bas, est fait pour profiter de la provence: l'interieur est décoré avec goût, personalité. Le jardin est luxuriant et trés agreable: on trouve toujours un coin au soleil ou à l'ombre seon que l'on veuille rester ua frais ou lezarder. La vue sur le village de Lourmarin est imprenable.

Le village est ses alentours sont trés agréables. Un merveilleux sejour!! Nous reviendrons en été!!!

The village is ideally located in the Luberon Natural Park, within easy reach of Aix (30min), Avignon(45min), Arles(1h) and the world-famous antiques centre of Isle-sur-la-Sorgue(45min). Marseille, Cassis and the Mediteranean coast are an easy one hour car drive away. The Camargue, Les Alpilles, St Remy, Antibes, Nice and St Tropez are all a day trip from here.Lourmarin is approximately 45 minutes by car from Marseille international airport and 40 minutes from Aix TGV train station.

Other nearby favorite attractions include the hilltop villages of Bonnieux, Lacoste, Gordes and Roussillon, and the Cistercian Abbey of Sénanque with its famous lavender fields.
