Why Sonia Testa chose San Giorgio a Cremano
"Villa Raffaela " is a family residence built in 1860 and recently renovated. It is located at the foot of Mount Vesuvius in one of the most beautiful areas of Campania. From the garden you can enjoy a beautiful view of Mount Vesuvius and the city of Naples which hide jewelry in history, art and culture that will make your holiday unforgettable. The idea of having the guests came thinking it would be a little ' how to travel staying at home. In fact, there is an opportunity to be able to meet and chat on the Neapolitan territory, its history, about what the area offers such as culture, food, sports and landscape, with the desire to make your stay as pleasant as possible. A "new" way to travel within the reach of all that for tourists is surely preferable to the hotel for the convenience of the price, but above all to feel in a cozy and familiar taste even miles away from home. So it can be a truly unique experience, tranquility, friendliness, warmth and comfort are the recipe for Villa Raffaela, immersed in an elegant, intimate setting.

A perfect oasis to sightsee from
A perfect place for us that met all our needs. Safe and secure, Very clean, beautiful and tranquil gardens and a great location from which to see all the surrounding sights. Excellent AC in all rooms and excellent wifi for multiple devices. Tv was a bit disappointing because there were only Italian channels and the place is a bit tricky to find initially but overall it is a fantastic place that we would recommend.
Merci pour les bons mots, je suis heureux que vos vacances soient agréables et que la maison répond aux attentes.
Grazie per le belle parole, sono felice che la vostra vacanza sia stata gradevole e che la casa sia stata all'altezza delle aspettative.
Bella, Bella, Bellisima!
Villa Raffaella is a beautiful little house behind a private area of a family home (una villa grande). The separate residence was not an apartment, but it's own domicile (gated) with private access to the front door by car and taxi in beautiful Ercolano (near San Giorgio a Cremano).
Sonia the wonderful daughter and her regal family live on the premises. She gave us every help and direction we needed including the number of Ciro OUR taxi driver.
Ciro picked us up and dropped us off right at our door for all our trips a Napoli, to Pompeii, to the train station....tutti (and always at a very fair price). He gave us a personal tour explaining everything as he drove us everywhere. In Pompeii he even secured a wonderful tour for us on site, dropped us off and pick us up later. What a gift...grazie Sonia for Ciro and for everything.
Staying at Villa Rafaella felt like we were con famiglia and we came to Ercolano to visit our own family (who still live in San Giorgio a Cremano).
Every morning I would walk downtown. The people, il caffe', the food, and the churches...to me it was like una fetta di paradiso! My family came from Naples and all this was possible because of Sonia and her bella famiglia.
I cannot imagine staying in a better place.
Brava Villa Rafaela!
(e bravo a "da famous" Ciro"

Pleasant location but disappointing accommodation
The photos of the villa interior lead guests to believe that they will be staying in the main building. The actual accommodation is in the "garden annex". The bedrooms and bathroom upstairs have low ceilings and one bedroom has only a curtain to seal it off. The kitchen is poorly equipped. But the location is quiet and convenient for visiting local attractions.
Mixed experience - part good, part bad
Quiet property. Photos misleading - accommodation is in garden annex, not main building. Upper floor has low ceilings (bang heads) and one bedroom only has curtain door. Kitchen poorly equipped - blunt cutlery and no microwave. Poor value for money.
A garden of calm on the slopes of Vesuvio
Four of us stayed in the coach house of Villa Raffaella on the outskirts of Ercolano for 3 nights; it was a perfect base for exploring Mount Vesuvio and the ruins of Ercolano, the Oplontis Villa, Pompeii and provided secure parking overnight. The coach house is situated in a private garden close to the main villa, and very quiet. in the evening. The owner Sonia lives in the main villa and she was extremely helpful in giving us directions for all of the main sights; there is a good restaurant within walking distance of the house, and a large modern supermarket and shopping complex within a few minutes drive.
Grazie per la vostra recensione. Sono molto felice che visia piaciuta la casa e la zona. Spero di rivedervi in futuro.
Thank you for your review. I am very happy that you enjoyed the house and the area. I hope to see you in the future.
