Designer Loft of 140 sq.m., located in the town centre on the top floor of a building with lift. Two large and sunny terraces on each side (north/south), not overlooked, with view of the cathedral St Just and the La Clape massif. Two large bedrooms and one spacious living room with kitchen. Closed parking lot. Large bathroom with shower and two washbasins. One separate toilet.
On the other floors under the loft, there are some office space where people work during the day but leave in the evening which then guarantees a complete tranquillity of the building.
The apartment has a very soothing atmosphere and is not noisy at all. After long and hard days, it welcomes you with comfort and relaxation.
The terraces are also very intimate and peaceful places where you can enjoy a good glass of wine.
If you arrive by train, the train station is about 5 minutes by foot and the owner will pick you up there.
If you arrive by car via the motorway, we are also waiting for you at the exit Narbonne East
to guide you to the apartment.
Nice welcome, very clean place, eclectic decor which we liked. The music festival was on and it was a great experience. We would recommend the property.
After much Internet searching came upon Henri's rooftop apartment in Narbonne which looked great from the images but you are always a bit sceptical when things look this good.
In our view at least it exceeded our expectations the views are amazing of the Cathedral and rooftops and the quality of the accommodation and style in which it is furnished are extremely good and up to date from the industrial styling and retro furnishings to the modern kitchen and Bang and Olufsen sound system.
The apartment is ideally located to enjoy Narbonne centre and canal waterfront together with its great access to the train and bus station to travel locally to Gruissan (1 Euro) or Carcassone /Bezier by the train.
Only back home 3 days and already thinking about returning next year.
The place looked even better in real life than in pictures. Spacious, clean, modern apartment (industrial design chic) in a central location and with stunning view of the old cathedral from one of the balconies. Very quiet and private too, in that block it's the only apartment (top floor), rest is occupied by offices so very quiet at all times. Henri showed us around and we found the place had everything we needed for our 3 day stay - wish we were there for longer and definitell will be back.
Henri was always on hand, very responsive and attentive - thank you very much for everything! We hired a car from the airport so he met us off the motorway exit after the toll and we followed him into town to the apartment. We asked him to pre-book parking in the big car park Mediatheke opposite the apartment and found it to be a great thing to do - not cheap but we always found a space, it's accessible 24/7 even during times when it's closed to public and completely secure, only accessible with a swipe card out of hours. Yes there are quite a few street parking spaces around but you have to remember to pay at set times of a day and have never a guarantee you'll find a spot nearby.
Town square is only 5mins walk with lots of places to eat, drink and explore quality of French joie de vivre. There's Carefour 5mins walking distance from the apartment, big food market 10mins away and beautiful quaint narrow streets of old historic town to explore. Narbonne beach is 20mins drive with vast stretches of sand and this time of the year it was quite empty - lots of space, great for long walks too. This was our 2nd visit to Narbonne and first stay in this apartment, we will be coming back and hoping to book this very same place.
Henri is an amazing host. He picked us up at the train station, despite our train being 2 hours late. The apartment has everything you need and more. Henri and his wife have paid a lot of attention to detail and some of the things in the apartment I wanted to ship home. It is a central location, quiet and with 2 stunning terraces. Quite often, places you rent are not quite as good as the photos. Well not in this case. The apartment is better than any holiday rental I've stayed it and that is quite a few. Thanks, Henri.
This apartment is a little slice of heaven, we could have stayed forever. A perfect location in Narbonne, with fabulous views of the cathedral, Henri was the perfect host, meeting us and giving us a lovely welcome.
Henri and CHantal were quite the most gracious and welcoming hosts. From the moment Henri picked us up at the train station until we (sadly) had to return home, he was attentive and responsive to our requests. The apartment is exactly as it appears in the photos, give or take some furniture movement,clean,delightfully quirky and wonderfully appointed with the best of all kitchen equipment, the beds are comfy, the walk in shower very roomy and the private terraces on both sides of the flat gave us quality togetherness. The catherdral is lit up at night and there is no more perfect place to sit and enjoy a glass of wine. The apartment's central location meant we were literally minutes away from lots of places of interest in the city but also within striking distance of the canal and countryside. Sadly the wind was so strong (East Lothian strong!) that we did not hire any bikes to explore deeper into the countryside. A thoroughly pleasing four days of relaxation and discovery and we would certainly return and recommend further. Un grand plaisir!
