Smart, secure and well equipped. Excellent location

Property is large, comfortable, well equipped and along with the pool and gardens, very well kept.

We stayed lateJuly,early August and the mature trees in the garden offered some welcome shade from the sun.

Location of the house was ideal for us, never having been to Madrid, as it offered easy access to the city by car, or rail (you can walk to the train station) as well as roads out to the country where there are many places to visit, walks to do, whatever your preference.

Torrelodones is handy as you can walk to local shops/supermarkets for essentials and there are plenty of places to eat within walking distance too.

I would highly recommend this property, which in my opinion offers very good value for money.

Great home and location

This was the perfect place to spend part of our vacation in Spain. We visited Madrid, Segovia, El Escorial and Toledo which are must see locations and convenient by auto or train from Torreldones. The home was great and the garden/pool provided a welcome respite from long days of sightseeing. We booked this property based on previous positive reviews and our stay exceeded expectations. The owner is very friendly and was available to answer our local area questions and provide recommendations.

Great place for exploring Madrid and surroundings

We had a great holiday in Torrelodones. The house is spacious and comfortable and has all the amenities you might need. It is located in a quiet residential area within walking distance of a shopping street with supermarkets, restaurants and cafés. Madrid is easily reached by train and so are the mountains and El Escorial. No need for a car. The owner is very friendly, offered to pick us up at the train station and showed us the town on arrival. We really enjoyed our stay here.

Just what we needed! 5 star

We had a brilliant fortnight staying here. The location made a good base to see the area with a good train route into Madrid and out to the hills and historical towns. It's also close to main road routes if you decide to drive. Torrelodones has everything you need in terms of a selection of restaurants, shops, banks and also the train station, all in easy walking distance and other treats such as a delicious ice cream shop. However, the days we enjoyed most were the days spent relaxing by the pool in this lovely quiet secluded well kept garden. The very helpful owner is charming and made us feel welcome. The pool was cleaned every day (apart from weekends). The house was clean, well maintained and had everything we needed.

"Our stay was fantastic. Actually even better then expected when looking on the internet. Everthing was perfect for us; The house, the garden, the friendly owner who showed us around, the location (near to train and bus and beautifull villages by car). Totally agree with another comment, which said, the only possible comment they could find, would be the length of the stay > to short...."

Just fabulous! It worked perfectly for us. A great base for Madrid or the surrounding countryside. Everything was within a short walk: Butchers, Bakers, supermarket, restaurant, bar, bus and train: The choice was yours. The owner, Carlos was a fantastic host, the accomodation was lovely and the pool was blissful. The only disappointment was that our stay wasn't long enough. - We had to return home for school and work!
