Location: Ski In/Ski Out at the Village at Winter Park Resort. Two miles from downtown Winter Park.
We bought this as a 2nd home and vacation rental when we saw how much Winter Park was growing and what a great location this was. We fell in love with the area and now live in Winter Park with our twin 6 year old boys (pictured here). We now own the largest privately owned vacation rental company in the County: Winter Park Lodging Company and manage over 145 rentals. This is our crown jewel that we own ourselves, though and we've tried to make it the ideal vacation rental. We know what guests like, so we've stocked it chock full including our latest addition of a ukulele so the musicians can enjoy the evenings and get a sing along going.
You can't beat this location for ski in/ ski out. Plus, it's the largest 1 bedroom at any building at the Resort. We love that the bedroom is way down the hall from the living room and you can see the slopes but also the village from two different ends of the condo. Also, being at the end of the hall, it's nice and quiet.
Vaulted ceilings, don't share walls with other condos, largest 1-bedroom in complex and we have a ukulele for you to play!
We stayed the Friday and Saturday night after Thanksgiving. Check in was simple and easy. The room was prepared, in great shape and no issues at all. The hardest thing was finding the light switch which was under the countertop of the breakfast bar. We had an awesome view of the village and lifts. We only were in the room for night and sleeep as we were skiing both days so other than the room was nice, we really didn't spend to much time there. Had we though, we had everything we needed.
We loved staying in this condo! It was better than the photos and when we walked in it smelled so good too - clean and fresh. Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay.
Loved the layout of the place as it was larger than the other units that I have stayed at in this complex. The furnishings were nice as it sits at the far end of the hall so you have nobody on one side of you which was great. The master bed was very comfortable but if anyone is sleeping on that pullout, good luck...my daughter had a rough go of it.
I only have 2 small complaints...since it was summer we needed the windows open at night and the noise from the restaurants below or people hanging out at them got a bit noisy and also with the morning deliveries to the restaurants...the other issue was the cleaning service...They had left the previous renters towels behind the bedroom door and there was an awful amount of dust on the window coverings(my wife has very bad allergies) so it appeared that they clean the essentials well but don't go the extra step. I'm sure this was a one time mis-step so I won't fault them on that one.
Other than that, the place is great and would recommend it highly, especially in the winter when the windows would not be open. It is very convenient to all and is a quick couple of steps to the base of the mountain. You really cannot go wrong staying here.
This location couldn't have been more convenient! Right by the main lift in the middle of the village, it was about 100 ft. from the entrance to the lift. The unit was generously sized and even though we only had two people staying it would have easily fit four. I loved having coffee in the morning looking out onto the slopes from the balcony. It also happened to be one of the cheaper places in town, which is odd because I've stayed a number of other places in town and this was much larger and nicer.
This condo was great. The location was perfect- we could easily go back to the condo for lunch and go back out right after. There are so many restaurants in the village, so you don't even need to leave the resort which was nice since we didn't have a rental car. There is a washer and dryer just down the hallway which was ok, but I would have preferred a private washer and dryer. We were only there for 5 nights so it wasn't too big of a deal.
This is our favorite place to stay when we come visit. It is great for a couple, but also large enough to bring the kids. The murphy bed in the unit is great for the kids instead of a pull out couch. Right at the base of the resort and surrounded by activities!
The unit was very clean and decorated well. We enjoyed the big deck and updated amenities. The place was also very well stocked which was a nice touch. No issues at all. We had a great time and look forward to coming back.
Alpine Slide, snowmobiling, tubing hills, snowshoeing, every snow activity you can imagine plus best mountain biking in the world in summertime.
