Export salesman, I'm travelling often in Asia Pacific for my job but also for holidays. I'm passionate for the asian cultures, however, I enjoy giving suggestions and tips about Paris hot spots, restaurants and bars.
Jessy Tissot purchased this apartment in 2004
This flat is perfect for 4 people cause there is enough space for everyone. Moreover, the decoration and atypical space makes it unique compares to others traditional apartments.
1) Flat in the heart of Paris.
2) Unusual and spacious apartment for the 1st district
3) 2min by foot from subway and buses hub of Chatelet les Halles
Nothing more to say about this apartment. Great location, great decoration, great owners and really not expensive for the size of the place. I highly recommend and will come back for my next trip to Paris
Listing was accurate, location literally in the heart of Paris. Property reasonably clean. Owner is going to put in A/C, a welcome addition because Paris can get hot. A nice surprise was the double windows. Even though one is one floor above a restaurant when one closes the windows one doesn't hear anything about what's going on outside. That is truly welcome after an exhausting day of walking and sightseeing. One suggestion is that the owner should consider adding some amenities like coffee and sugar because most locations offer both. However the 4 stars are well deserved.
We've stayed few nights in that wonderful apartment with my 2 kids and wife. The location is really good to walk around with lots of restaurants and attractions nearby. The RER A to Disneyland is very convenient. The flat is exactly the same as on pictures, big enough to be 4. Highly recommended.
We stayed in this nice flat for a week and loved it. The location is great in walking distance of so many great things like Le Marais, Notre Dame, Pompidou and Louvre. The flat is very nice, everything you need for a weeks stay and spacious enough for family of four (two teens). Our commucation with the owners were very nice, they sent us by e-mail great informations and map of the nearest surrondings of the flat which came to a good use and were very willing to answer any questions or give informations if needed. We would highly reccomend it to others and already have done so :)
You'll be right in the centre! Loved this apt for its stellar Les Halles location, most of the sites are very near (Le Marais and Louvre just 10-15 min. away by foot; Pompidou Centre only 5 min.) or easily walkable, we even took leisurely strolls to Eiffel Tower and Sacre Coeur! Great not to be tied to the subway. Velib bikes (highly recommended) are not even 50 steps away from your door. It's amazing to be 5 min. away from the fabulous Rue Montorgueil and all their charming food shops, patisseries, fromageries. Seek out Julien boulangerie (southwest side of Les Halles) for their award-winning baguettes and croissants - also 5 min. away.
Superb communication from the owners -- always prompt and reliable, kind and professional. They're the tops, really good guys. (They provide great recs, too, like the bistro La Fresque which was our favourite -- don't miss it, delicious and reasonable. Under 100 euro for dinner for four. We went twice, it was so good, and nice servers. They also have lunch prix fixe for 18 euro (two plates, your choice) though we missed it.)
Overall, a really comfortable space-- large studio apt with convertible sofa bed can accommodate four persons overall -- our two teens didn't want to leave the apt! Spacious bathroom with rain shower-like head (though tiny sink -- can use the kitchen sink as the apt is open layout). Close the new windows for near perfect silence though the bar sounds from outside can leak in during weekends -- we liked the city ambience though and being in the centre of it all.
Ultra-comfortable futon bed on tatami-mat raised platform -- we slept like babies. Our teens took the sofa bed and they slumbered great there, too. Decor is spare and cool -- nice to be in a design-oriented space with cool original artwork up. The open layout really worked for us, we could spread out and be in one large space together which was optimal.
Without the conveniences of a modern building (like central air filter -- although there's air filter in bathroom) but don't be put off by an older building -- on Monday mornings the hallway and stairs were thoroughly scrubbed by the cleaners. We stayed nine nights in May 2014.
Overall, highly recommended pied-a-terre for your Paris visit!
We've spent, my wife and kids, a wonderful week in that apartment close to everything: Pompidou and Louvre museums, Notre Dame cathedral, commercial districts, and most importantly, Disneyland where we've been 3 twice by RER A. Note that the place is big enough for 4. I come quite often to Paris and found that apartment very spacious comparing to what I've used to rent in the city. Thank you to Jessy and Eric for their several and useful tips about the area and nice restaurants. Will definitely come again.
