Small but very cosy house, built in the ‘60s on the site of an old implements warehouse once used by peasants who cultivated with grapevine in the Fonza valley.
Recently restored, it has a large double-bed (or two-beds on request) room and a smaller room, one bed plus recess bed, each room communicating with its own bathroom with shower. Perfect solution for a four people family or two couples, the house is completed with a large sitting room, a small but well equipped kitchen, and a fascinating, shadowed dehors in the very “mouth” of the sea, with a spectacular view of the Campo gulf, of Montecristo and Pianosa islands and, in the clearest days, of the mountainous Corsica coastline. Just one minute walk, and you’ll be on the beach, or swimming in a transparent green water.
La Casina is located in the Fonza valley, on the southern coast of Elba, 5 km (3 on macadam road) from Marina di Campo, where you can find everything you need, fruit and fish, excellent bread and pizza, restaurants, boutiques and supermarket. Even if it’s provided with satellite tv and internet connection, quietness and direct contact with nature are the true appeal of the place.
