I'm a biologist, working as a free lance consultant mainly in the food industry (risk analysis about food). Together with my family I started the holiday apartment rental in January 2012 since we like to meet different people and to help them enjoying Verona's beauties.
Giaele Butti purchased this apartment in 1973
The apartment and the building belong to my family since more than 40 years
We booked this apartment because we wanted to be near the centre of Verona and we weren't disappointed. Only about 10 minutes to walk into the centre where we soon in the tourist paradise with multiple places to eat and people watch. The coliseum is fantastic and there was additional entertainment (Pooh - the reunion) which although we didn't have tickets could enjoy from the park in the square. Our apartment was on the ground floor and was very clean. We were a bit daunted by the large window that faced onto the street which looks like a mirror but Gaiele assured us that we could see out and people couldn't see in. It was really entertaining just watching the antics of people who passed by checking their appearance in it as well. As we were just out of the hustle and bustle of the main town we found that it was quite quiet at night so you were able to get a good night sleep. The bed was so comfortable too. The only thing that was missing were some cushions for the sofa but we improvised and used our pillows. We were able to visit Venice by train and Lake Garda using the public transport. I would recommend both. Gaiele gave us some helpful hints on which restaurants to visit and also walks around Verona. We had the most fabulous time in Verona and I would thoroughly recommend visiting and also staying at La Casa Rossa.
My daughter and I really enjoyed our stay. It was a 20 walk from the train station or an 8 minute bus ride and 5 minute walk. The owner is so helpful and kind. The room was very spacious, clean and accommodating. She supplied coffee/tea as well - a nice touch. She had maps of the city as well as tour ideas/suggestions. and was more than willing to call a cab for us. Would recommend for sure!
A great apartment in the centre of Verona. As described in the advert - spacious, modern, good bathroom, great a/c. Met by Freya (hope I spelt that correctly!) who was extremely helpful and welcoming, who helped us find the secure parking spot, showed us around the apartment and explained how everything works. The apartment is only 5 mins walk to the Arena, 10 mins to Piazza del Erbe, and has coffee shops/bars/restaurants close-by in all directions. The other great thing is that the street where the apartment is located is quiet, so no noisy bus or road traffic for light sleepers.
The instructions on getting to the apartment were detailed and spot-on, the only thing being that for very low-bottomed cars the underground parking can be a bit nerve wracking!
I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again on our next stay in Verona.
My husband and I stayed here for a week in July 2015. The flat was wonderful and suited our needs perfectly. It was air conditioned and the wifi was excellent. And we certainly needed the air conditioning as it was extremely hot while we were there. The bedding and linen were excellent, the place was most comfortable. Our host was very kind and gracious and answered all our questions about the amenities in Verona. The flat was in a quiet street but close to the centre of Verona, and a short taxi ride from the railway station We walked everywhere, one way to the Arena and the opera and the shops, and to the river the other way. It was delightful. There was a coffee shop with great pizza nearby and an early morning bread shop
We would happily stay there again. We felt like locals.
Fantastic location just off to the side of the city center. 2 block walk to the river in one direction and a few blocks from both Piazza Bra and Piazza Erbe. Easy access to the garage with space for parking just outside the apartment for loading and unloading. The apartment was clean and had every amenity we could ask for. The manager/owner was available within minutes for anything we needed. I would recommend this to anyone looking for the chance to enjoy Verona as a local, not a tourist. We had a fantastic stay.
"It is really an excellent apartment in the heart of Verona. There is a large garage in the ground floor that is certainly convinient for such place. The owner is very helpful and kind."
