About FRANCO BIASCI

Me, my wife Grace and my daughters Sara and Zoe, live in the house that we renovated recently and where we welcome people in a separate apartment.

Life here is very nice although a bit 'hard, we live in close contact with nature, cultivating olive trees and we work for the maintenance of the house and garden / woods.

We made a choice for ecological restoration work: we heat with wood that we cut into the wood, producing hot water with solar heat and electricity with photovoltaic panels, we treat our waste with the wetlands, and we isolated with cork the roof of the house and ecological paints used for painting.

We are now beginning to offer hospitality with the excitement of sharing and exchange that has always characterized our own path oriented to solidarity, happy decrease and ecology.

I love to know people of different culture, music is my passion, my daughters play piano from many years, we love cinema and theatre, we love travel around the world but we can't so much because our house need of us everyday..

FRANCO BIASCI purchased this cottage in 1969

Excellent accommodation with stunning views and a great base to visit Pisa, Lucca and Florence from

My girlfriend and I stayed for 2 nights as we visited Pisa, Luca and San Miniato. The property is elevated on the hill side with great views and the decking area and communal space gives a fantastic setting to enjoy them! The apartment we stayed in was really nice, with a modern kitchen and all very clean and finished to a high standard. I highly recommend this property!

Great base To visit Florence, Pisa and Lucca.

  • 5 of 5

We spent and enjoyable (and busy) week with Franco and Graze during July. The apartment had all we needed. The bedroom, on the first floor, was delightful. The bathroom and shower room was excellent, the kitchen/dining room had all we needed and had a "country" look. The gardens surrounding the property were also very good, with views over the surrounding countryside. There are a number of areas where you can sit with a glass of wine and enjoy the views and sunset.

Franco was very helpful and available to answer our questions if needed.

We drove to Lucca and Pisa and took a train to Florence. The house was very convenient for all three of these major tourist destinations.

We would thoroughly recommend it as a base for exploring this area of Tuscany.

"From the minute we arrived it was like coming home!We spent a wonderful week with our 2 children exploring Tuscany and found Franco and Graze listing randomly. This property is exactly as the advert suggests; beautiful, quiet with wonderful views of the surrounding country side and villages. It was easy to make day trips as it is close to all the main attractions of Tuscany.

The apartment was very well equipped and clean. The bedroom was large and charming. The bathroom new and clean. A simple but functioning kitchen with everything you need. Our Hosts, Franco and Graze were very relaxed and accommodating and super generous. They were attentive but allowed us all the privacy we needed. The garden around the house was perfectly set up with tables and chairs here and there, we had fun having breakfast at a different spot each morning. I am reticent to post this review as this listing should be a well kept secret!!

We can''t wait to go back..."

Un lugar precioso y muy acogedor.

  • 5 of 5

Great holiday appartment in Tuscany

  • 5 of 5

Located at the top of a hill with a very large garden, the appartment is perfect for a family holiday. The children can freely roam around and enjoy playing in the garden, whilst the parents find time to relax. Highly recommended.

Wonderful stay in Buti

  • 5 of 5

Franco and his wife were the most gracious hosts. Franco met us on the first night and guided us up the unpaved road. His wife put together a full basket of food because we were starving and hadn't had dinner. The property is gorgeous-serene and quiet. The cottage is perfect for those who like to be unplugged (but WI-FI is good). It is decorated beautifully and clean, with lots of storage space and hooks. Franco told us we couldn't drink the water, but provided bottled water. The water is fine for cooking. The cats and dogs are adorable...they were very friendly and loved our attention, which was perfect for us because we missed our cats. Buti is a great little town-(make sure you eat at Pacci and try the blueberry pasta). It is situated close to the main roads so you can easily access Pisa and Florence, while still feeling like a retreat from the city. Franco was there to answer our questions, while still giving us our space. He was very gracious about our limited knowledge of Italian. I cannot say enough about this wonderful place! I highly recommend it and hope I have the ability to go back someday myself!
