Super Cool Property!
How often to you get to stay in a Palazzo? Very cool historic property creates a unique experience. While others are touring the museum and grounds, you get your own flat all to yourselves. Beautiful grounds and apartment with private secure entrance. The pictures are truly what you see entering the flat and inside. Comfortable and well appointed. Nice shower, comfortable bed, and kitchen was stocked with all the essentials. A silly thing, but I loved the window hardware that locks the shutters and/or the windows. A nice breeze was created with the windows open. Walking distance to everywhere in Lucca, yet far enough away from night life to be peaceful at night. All restaurants we tried were good. Parking outside of Lucca was not far...maybe 7 min walk and basically flat. We had no problems at the free parking lot which was recommended. Dario was responsive and easy to communicate with. He gave great directions to the property and access to the unit was easy. The folks working onsite were pleasant and helpful. Everything was just wonderful. Thank you Dario for making this property available. We would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to everyone. Go ahead...click book!
April and her husband were fantastic guests. I really hope to host them again in the future!
Wonderful! The Palazzo and gardens were beautiful and Dario and his staff were very helpful
The best Home Away property that we've ever used!
We loved the place so much we stayed two extra nights, 5 total. Beautiful grounds and gardens, central to Lucca, right next to the wall. 30 foot high ceilings, a kitchen you can cook in and lots of photo ops. We'll definitely be back in the palazzo in the future.
Travis and his fiancée were the nicest guests I have ever had. I wish they can come again in the future.
An oasis in Lucca!
Staying in a historic palace with a beautiful garden is an affordable luxury at Palazzo Pfanner. The huge windows look over the exquisite garden where we spent a lot of time listening to the fountain, reading, drinking spritz and loving life. Lucca is a fun place to visit, full of energy and people. Palazzo Pfanner is a welcome retreat to recharge.
Barbara and his husband were the perfect guests. I hope to host them again in the future.
Elegant Palazzo Dream
This is one of the most unique and beautiful places we've ever rented for vacation. The apartment is very large, has everything you need and could not be quieter or more elegant. Your own private oasis in Lucca. Literally living in the midst of history.
Karen was a perfect guest. I hope to host her again in the future!
The flat is very spacious, elegantly furnished, the kitchen has all you need. Garden and palace wonderful, tourists are happy to pay to visit it. Dario Pfanner, the owner, very kind. And music-lover. We were very fortunate that the flat was available for the days we spent in Lucca for a delightful festival of classical music. Francesco.
Francesco Bascone and his family, also music lovers, were the kind of guests that everyone would like to host, very very nice and respectful. I hope to see them again in the future
For those arriving by the motorway, come off at the Lucca Est exit, take Viale Europa, cross the ring road around the Walls, enter through Porta Santa Maria, park the car and proceed on foot along via della Cavallerizza. The apartment is situated 50 metres from the Basilica of San Frediano in via degli Asili 33.
In the splendid historic centre of Lucca can be visited numerous historic palaces, churches, museums and temporary exhibitions. It is delightful to walk along the 4 kms. of the 16th century Walls. In June/July Lucca holds the Summer Festival (a festival of pop music); in October/November there is Comics and Games (an international fair for comics and cartoons). Close to Lucca you can make excursions on foot, horseback or bicycle both on the neighbouring hills and the Apuan Alps. For those that like the sea, the beaches at Viareggio and Versilia are only 30 mins. by car. The other historic cities of Tuscany, Pisa, Florence and Siena can be reached in 20, 45 and 90 mins. by car. In the immediate vicinity of Lucca is the lake of Massaciuccoli with its naturalistic oasis that can be explored by boat or canoe, as well as the historic residence of Giacomo Puccini.
