In the heart of Amsterdam
Near to AnneFrank's house
In the middle of Jordaan
Very peaceful looking to the garden
Our apartment is situated in a house on the Prinsengracht, one of the most beautiful and lively canals in the city centre. Dated 1730 and fully renovated, it stands in the residential and smart shopping area called Jordaan. Jordaan is the most popular and historic part of town with small cafes, bars, restaurants, boutiques, and on Saturdays and Mondays organic and antique markets. The house has a nice view of the inside garden. Within walking distance of Central train station (10min), Anne Frank’s House (1 min), Damsquare (8 min), shopping streets (9 straatjes, Haarlemer street, Kalver street )(5-10 min) and museums (Rijks museum, Vangogh museum, Hermitage ) (20-30 min). A minibus serves the canals every 20 min and stops at request. To really see Amsterdam one needs to do a canal tour. We have our own small boats so we can arrange private boat trips - also in the evenings when most bridges and private and public houses are illuminated – or picnics on the Amsterdam canals. One can rent bicycles everywhere. Public transportation is close and car traffic is almost nonexistent. Amsterdam is a very quiet city compared to other major ones. "
We loved our stay here. It is located on a canal in the Jordaan district which is lively with cafes, shopping, restaurants, bars and an organic and antique market part of the week. It is also only an 10 min walk from Amsterdam Centraal and Cido's walking directions were crystal clear. We didn't get to meet Cido but her husband Rob was very warm and accommodating. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is there was construction and drilling going on in the unit below us the day we got there -- we were traveling and hadn't slept the night before and just wanted to pass out for a few hours in the afternoon but It was impossible because the drilling was about 6 inches from our heads! Also scaffolding went up our last day there, blocking our beautiful garden view for a day. I understand these things are difficult to control, as obviously this is a normal apartment building not a hotel, but it would've been nice to have a heads up! Not too big of a deal because it only really affected us one day, but if I was on my Honeymoon I would definitely have been more upset! Overall a beautiful place to stay in one of the best Districts in Amsterdam.
Amazing stay at Cido's place in Amsterdam. The room is cute & tiny but all you really need for a few day stay for 1 or 2 people. The location is perfect, we walked everywhere. Only a few minutes away from Anne Frank Haus & a short walk to other sites in the city. The farthest walk is the Heineken Experience which is about 30 min away walking. Never got to meet Cido due to our schedules conflicting but she was very helpful & everything worked out perfectly. Would strongly recommend.
My husband and I loved this apartment. It is beautifully appointed, quiet with a garden view and everything you need. The location is perfect for sites, dining and shopping. The hospitality of Rob and Cido was beyond anything we could imagine. They are so friendly and helpful - amazing!! We wish we could have stayed longer. Everything was so comfortable, clean and attractive. It was an easy stay in every way. Thank you again to Rob and Cido!
Cigdem is easy to communicate with and accommodating. Apartment is clean, comfortable, and very reasonably priced. Location is the BEST!!! Away from the tourist crowds, and walking distance to many dining options and sites. Neighborhood is safe and walkable. It's a 10 minute walk to the train station and to the tram stop. Use the public transportation - it's outstanding! My wife and I cannot say enough wonderful things about our visit to Amsterdam. We also took day trips to Haarlem and Utrecht. Be adventurous. You will love this place!
