Cabrières-d'Avignon House Rental Photos and Description

The house is located in the heart of a beautiful medieval village, at the foot of the castle and with all shops nearby. It is a very calm area. The ancient house was recently refurbished with charming contemporary decoration. There are 4 double bedrooms, each of which with a private room. The accommodation also offers a beautiful living room with an open-plan kitchen and a fireplace, and a television area on the mezzanine. There are several landscaped areas in a beautiful and old enclosed garden: the perfect place for having breakfast in the shade, having dinner at the sunset, or having an aperitif under the big awning. And of course, you can have a swim in the beautiful heated swimming pool.

Lovely house, lovely village, lovely Luberon

We were a family group of 7 -grandparents, 30 year olds and a baby.

We loved that each bedroom had a bathroom -there's even yet another toilet!

The pool is well heated and that was a big plus in May -lovely sunny days -but a few windy ones!

The garden has several sheltered sitting areas -we used one for breakfast -(the one just outside the kitchen has wi-fi), one for lunch and the one near the pool for dinner! We were spoilt for choice!

Flavia was wonderfully helpful with the planning and Sonia was a gem -so considerate with providing for our needs. We all had her in house massage and that was very relaxing!

The village of Cabrieres is great! You could just stay here and not need to drive anywhere -wonderful grocer, butcher and the bakery is supplied from one of the best bakers of the Luberon -from Rousillon!

We had an excellent dinner at Le Vieux Bistro - and all these businesses are just a few metres stroll from the house.

And mecifully, Cabrieres is not on the tourist map so it is delightfully peaceful, yet full of character.

The Farmers' Market at Coustellet is wonderful and just a few minutes drive away! There's also a very good supermarket in this town too.

There are great walks on quiet roads and more rugged pathways from the house -one of us went hiking every morning and that was her highlight.

It's also a good centre for exploring the Luberon -we didn't bother going far out of the valley -one trip to Avignon and one to Gigondas/Chateau Neuf de Pape.

The roses in the garden were a delight -picture perfect in May! We spent quite a bit of time in the garden and around the pool. A very happy family time!

Excellent Séjour

Nous étions 6 adultes et 2 petits, la maison a fait l'unanimité et nos deux semaines se sont très bien passées. La maison est charmante, propre, fraîche bien décorée et suffisamment spacieuse pour nos petites familles. La propriétaire est très agréable et bien habituée à louer cette maison. Sonia, qui s'est occupée de nous remettre les clefs et de nous présenter la maison est très sympathique et disponible.

Le village est très calme et les commerçants très accueillant, la boulangerie, la boucherie et le petit restaurant de la place sont vraiment bons.

Très jolie maison

Nous avons passé de très agréables vacances dans cette maison. Nous sommes restés deux semaines, 6 adultes et 2 petits. La maison est grande, fraîche, bien équipée et joliment décorée. Le village est très calme, les habitants et les commerçants sont très accueillants. La remise des clefs s'est faite sans soucis et tout c'est bien passé. La maison a fait l'unanimité.

Un havre de paix, de détente et de repos

Un séjour absolument parfait dans la maison de Cabrieres.

Idéalement situé au pied du village de Gorde.

Le cadre est vraiment reposant

Des commerces de proximité à 3 minutes à pied.

La maison et le jardin sont plein de charme, une mention spéciale pour ce jardin parfaitement paysagé qui joue d'ombre et de soleil tout au long de la journée.

Merci à Sonia pour son accueil, pour ses bonnes adresses et pour ses massages relaxants et apaisants.

Nous reviendrons avec plaisir séjourner dans cette maison.

Coming from the south, leave the A7 motorway at exit Cavaillon, then follow first Apt, and then Gordes. Five kilometres before Gordes, follow Cabrières d'Avignon, and pass the main street. At the end of it, turn left into the Rue du Château. Turn right after 20 m, at the corner of the castle, as if you would be getting into the castle. The house is located just next to it.

Coming from the north, leave the A7 motorway at exit Avignon South. From the Avignon train station, follow the departmental road to Apt. Go straight ahead towards Apt and turn left towards Gordes at the traffic lights in Coustellet. Before arriving in Gordes, start following the direction of Cabrières. From Cavaillon, the drive to the house takes 20 minutes. From the train station, it is a 35-minute trip. Coming from Avignon south, you need 25 minutes. In the surrounding area, some villages were classified as « Most Beautiful Villages of France »: Gordes, Ménerbes, Bonnieux, Goult, and Lourmarin. In Coustellet, there is a farmer’s market on Sundays.
