Why J.A. Ker Russell chose Drymen
We wanted a secluded spot, but not isolated, within walking distance to a village and local pub / restaurant. We were looking to bring up a young family in somewhere we could always call home and always look forward to returning to, whatever age we were. And we wanted somewhere special, that excited us each time we arrived. Strathendrick House has achieved everything we wanted and more!
What makes this Cottage unique
Secluded and private but not isolated Big enough to fit friends and family, small enough to feel warm, welcomed and comfortable Decorated and finished with charm and taste but not flash An amazing garden with its own private river A family of deer that treats our garden as their own A perfect place to get away but never too far from dining out, a pint or a familiar face
100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
Wonderful House in Drymen
Our family of 5 loved this beautiful home in Drymen. It was the perfect location for visiting all the nearby castles and historic sites and a peaceful place to return to at the end of the day.
Beautiful House in Wonderful Gardens
We stayed at Strathendrick House as a family for a wedding held in Killearn. The house was perfect for our family of 8 - Mum, Dad and the married adult children. The house is very comfortable and was exactly as billed on the Home Away website. We would happily return.
Beautiful, peaceful grounds and enough rooms for 8 of us
We loved it! It was so peaceful and fit the eight of us perfectly! Hard to find a great house with 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. Lots of room to spread out in the house. It was a once in a lifetime trip for us. So wonderful to have the whole family under one roof. Make sure and go into Drymen and eat at The Clackan. Wonderful food. Make a reservation though.
Our stay in Drymen
We had a fantastic time staying in Drymen. Although the house was a bit difficult to find once we were there it was perfect in every way.
Ideal for our short break which was very restful. House and facilities are excellent whatever the weather and we enjoyed walks into Drymen and up to the golf course. Heather and her son were very welcoming and helpful.
Delighted you enjoyed your stay at our house. I'm guessing from your comments the weather was not too kind. I'm in Tuscany at the moment and to make you feel better, the ducks have packed their bags and flown off south for "the summer"!
Please come back whenever you fancy
Great House to Stay in
Stayed here for a family wedding and couldn't have asked for more . The open plan area downstairs meant we could all be together and yet loads of space for us all so we didn't feel we were on top of each other . The bedroom downstairs was perfect for my mum who is unable to go upstairs and having an en-suite attached was a bonus for her . The house is full of character and clean and tidy . The garden had an area for the children to play in . The house had all we needed and more and Hector and Heather made things very easy if we needed any help with anything . We certainly would love to come back and stay and take in the surrounding area.
