Our house is an authentic thatched cottage of character of 160 m2, completely redone 2 years ago, in thatched roof with iris on the roof, in a closed garden out of sight of 2800 m2.
Our cottage is located in a lush, secluded setting, in a village of 1,200 people, located in a European protected natural area (Natura 2000).
Our home offers the advantage of being midway between Paris and the Normandy coast.
In the direction of Paris, we are 1 hour by car from the famous Château de Versailles (the castle of King Louis XIV), 1 hour 30 minutes from Euro Disney, and 1 hour 30 minutes from Paris, where you can visit Sacré C?ur, Notre Dame de Paris, and the Eiffel Tower.
In the direction of Normandy, we are 1 hour 30 minutes from the Etretat Cliffs and the beaches of Deauville and Trouville.
If you are interested in the D-Day landing beaches, our home can be your home base for the beaches (Arromanches) and the Caen Memorial.
Back at our home, rediscover nature with the many hiking trails that start at our home or nearby.
We are also located near supervising swimming areas (Lac de Poses).
There are many gardens to visit, including Monet's garden at Giverny, Miserey, and Domaine d'Harcourt.
Our department is full of picturesque villages (including all of the villages along the Eure, such as Jouy-sur-Eure and Fontaine-sous-Jouy, popular among French artists), as well as Brionne and Pont Audemer, to name a few.
If you have children, they are welcome to play with the toys, go tobogganing, or play in the small house outside.
