Such a nice apartment. Very spacious. Walkable location, and easy to find inexpensive parking out front. Easy to drive in and out of Caen.
My husband and I stayed in this apartment for three nights while we explored the Normandy region. We stayed in five different apartments during a 3 1/2 week trip and this was by far the best apartment we stayed in. It was clean, comfortable, roomy and had all the comforts of home. It has beautiful wood floors, floor to ceiling windows in the living room and a small balcony for sitting and relaxing. You can tell the owner has taken pride with her personal touch of beautiful art work throughout the apartment, making it a really special place to stay. This is a great location to explore the Normandy beaches, Mont St. Michel and Bayeux, etc. It's within walking distance to many restaurants and a grocery store and there is a nearby (within 1k of the apt.) central train station to Paris and other locations in France. Although you have to pay to park, there was ample parking at the building entrance and only required paid parking (1-2 Euros) between 9:30-12:30 & 2:00-7:00. This is definitely an area of France we want to come back to so we can spend more time visiting the nearby towns and villages. When we do, we definitely will stay in this apartment again!
"I had a lovely stay at this flat. The decor was very charming, colorful, and sophisticated. The kitchen was beautiful and spacious, with all of the necessary amenities and more. Our hostess was fabulous! She had little gifts of homemade blackberry jam and a bottle of cider awaiting us! Both delicious. She had a very extensive library and was very generous in allowing us to read the books and watch the television. I felt really comfortable and at home, and it definitely made my trip more relaxed. It was only a tram stop away from the train station which made things very convenient, and downtown was only a five minute walk away! Altogether a fabulous stay!!!! Absolutely coming back!"
We, a family with 3 kids stayed 5 day in this extraordinary, very pleasant flat. It looked more like a flat, where the owner is temporary away for business then making an impression of a holiday flat. It was perfectly equipped and it has a very personal note from the owner. The pictures give an realistic view. The flat is large enough for 5 persons.
It's not only that I can recommend it, I would even set it in my top 3 holiday flats (out of 20-something occasions).
Wir wurden äußerst freundlich von Frau. Rambert aufgenommen. Die Wohnung war bestens ausgestattet und trotz Lage an Straßenbahnlinie sehr ruhig. Wir bedanken uns ausdrücklich für das uns entgegengebrachte Vertrauen. Wir können diese Wohnung bestens empfehlen.
Appartamento spazioso, luminoso, pulitissimo e dotato di tutto il necessario (compresa TV satellitare, DVD in varie lingue e CD con vari generi musicali). Cucina ben accessoriata (compreso olio, aceto, sale, ecc.) e bagno molto grande con doppio lavandino. Eccellente la connessione Wi-Fi. L'appartamento si trova in pieno centro (il castello di Caen è raggiungibile a piedi) ma, nonostante questo, non abbiamo mai avuto problemi a trovare parcheggio che era disponibile sia sotto casa (a pagamento, 1 euro/ora) che nelle vie adiacenti (libero). Posizione comoda anche per l'accesso all'autostrada. Proprietaria gentilissima (al nostro arrivo ci ha accolto con dei squisiti dolci tradizionali) e molto disponibile.
