About Kim Bergstrom
I'm Kim Bergstrom. My husband, Eric Bergstrom, have built on my father's dream of owning a beachfront house on the Oregon Coast. We now own three, and much to my husband's dismay we continue to grow. We purchased our family beach house from my father in 1996, and have thrived through sweat equity - most people think of us as rather crazy, but we've taken something we love to do and are making it our second chapter in life. We enjoy taking properties with potential and great location, adding a facelift without removing the character, and introducing them to our expanding group of guests. Our latest endeavor is a turn of the century three story house which will sleep 20. We put a lot of thought and work into each house, and luckily have found guests who love the results. Like many of our guests we've come to know over the years, we hope you also come to think of this special house as your very own vacation home - without all the work!

Why Kim Bergstrom chose Neahkahnie Beach
With deep ties to the Manzanita community, we've watched this house over the years. Put up for sale, it needed love and attention, from the weedy front yard to the small windows and precarious route to the side deck. Kim and her daughter saw the potential and convinced Eric to join in the fun. There definitely was a learning curve for all - by the end of the project we could have written a book detailing the fun and craziness with remodeling a cedar log house. With big windows and decks to take advantage of the beautiful setting and gorgeous ocean views, opening up smaller rooms to big open areas, designer touches here and there -- well, we invite you to see the results. Or check out our reviews. Our regular guests, and new guests, have awarded us great feedback. And every happy guest makes the experience worthwhile!
What makes this Cottage unique
Spend your next vacation at this cozy oceanfront Caretakers Bungalow on one of the most famous Oregon beaches. You'll love the modern updates to this historic cabin, including updated desiger kitchen with honed granite counters and awesome views!
Bungalow as described, very nicely set up. Great location, private, yet across the street from the beach. We will be back!!
Cute and cozy in March
Really loved this little cottage. It was effortless, except that we didn’t figure out the heating until day 2 and were freezing. But aside from that we loved being able to bring our dog with us who also had a blast on the beach. The Whiskey Bar in town was a wonderful discovery too. For going to the beach in March, this couldn’t have been better- a perfect get away from Seattle for the week!
The "just right" beach cabin
We so enjoyed our stay at the caretaker's bungalow! The location is perfect for quick beach and town access ,and, the view is terrific. The house has everything that you might need for a short stay , and for those interested, the mattresses were very comfortable. Looking forward to another stay.
Was very nice, great location. The view was awesome and very private. Perfect for 2 to 3 people. Want to go back in the summer. We had everything we needed.
Delightful, well appointed little cottage with amazing views and location!
We loved our stay at the Caretakers Bungalow! The house had everything we needed and the proximity to the beach was great for frequent runs to the surf with our dogs. The kitchen has everything you need to cook and eat-in, and the main bedroom (we didn't use the 2nd bedroom) was comfortable and warm. Highly recommended!!
It was perfect for the four of us. We had a wonderful view of the beach with easy access just across the road. It was roomy, with a great kitchen and new appliances. The beds were very comfortable. It is tidy and inviting. Everything that we needed was provided for us. Wifi, a smart TV, games and books to read. Great location for walking. Even the dog had a good time. This bungalow will stay on our list of fun places to stay. We recommend it highly.
