Great place for families and friends
The house was very comfortable for us, 4 couples. Great big eat- in kitchen, beautiful deck for eating or lounging outdoors, plus a spacious living room. Great location for walking to the beach, shopping, downtown.
Wonderful time in Saint Jean de Luz!
My husband, daughter, son-in-law and 2 year old grandson had a lovely time staying here. We were met by Mme Etcheverria who explained everything about the house which I was able to understand with my small knowledge of French. We loved the quiet location of the house. It was within 10 minutes walking distance to the beach and town and a few minutes to the boulangerie which we visited daily! The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped for the few times we ate in. There were bikes, sand toys and beach chairs to use which were much appreciated.
We had a few days of bad weather but that didn't stop us exploring and enjoying the surrounding area. We appreciated the owner, Blandine, checking in with us to make sure we were doing ok regardless of the weather.
I would highly recommend this property.
Loved our stay
Just loved this house. Quite area with easy access to beach and town. Great to have the bikes also. Comfortable beds. Lovely garden and outside dining. Just a note; the property is on the bottom floor, and is divided into two seperate buildings within the courtyard- 3 bedroom + seperate 1 bedroom ensuite, which suited us perfectly. There is a seperate cleaning charge which I feel should be included in the price- thats my only complaint! Ps you need to be able speak french as lady who meets you with key has no english, which didnt help us as we have very poor french (were working on it !)
Absente de St Jean-de-Luz, ce n'est pas moi qui ai reçu cette famille aussi je ne peux porter d'appréciation personnelle sur leur séjour mais seulement rapporter l'impression de la personne qui les a accueillis : "Famille très agréable où le mari parlait bien français. Séjour sans aucun problème". Arrivés avec des amis français, il ne nous a pas paru nécessaire de faire venir la fille de ma remplaçante pour traduction comme c'est le cas lorsque nous recevons des hôtes qui ne parlent pas français. En ce qui concerne la 4ème chambre séparée et les frais de ménage optionnels, ces deux mentions sont clairement exprimées dans l'annonce. Pour ma part, à travers les très, très nombreux échanges de mails préalables à leur venue, j'ai ressenti une famille exigeante, avec de nombreuses interrogations et demandes...que nous avons satisfaites! Nous sommes prêts à les accueillir à nouveau et avec plaisir !
A lovely property in a lovely town
The villa is lovely and spacious and we thoroughly enjoyed our 3 weeks there. The pictures of the villa are accurate, but I think it is actually prettier than the pictures. While we had only the main house, due to the time of year, the 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths (one with a separate toilet) is enough space for six people in pretty bedrooms. The living and dining room is so comfortably furnished with two sofas and more chairs, a large table, and lots of light, since French doors open to the large yard and covered deck (with another large dining table). Comfortable for reading, music, tv or games. Though it was a cool spring while we were there the spacious yard and deck, the ping pong table and barbecue grill are a very nice addition. The yard and deck are surprisingly private given the greenery and walls. The kitchen was a very good size and extremely well equipped. All the appliances were quite new and easy to operate, as were the washer and dryer (in the second bathroom). A pleasure to work or eat in!
Location of the villa is excellent only 5 minutes to the beach and 15 to the heart of downtown. Parking was easy which was good since we had a car and used it for many side trips. There is a little market just down the hill (3 minutes) for essentials if something is forgotten on larger market trips. St Jean itself is charming, a beautiful beach, great walks, lots of restaurants, shops, a great market every day and numerous potential side trips.
Although we had an issue with the boiler while we there, the very fast and helpful response of the nice owner and local caretaker, Mrs Etcheverria, was greatly appreciated and remedied the issue quickly. We definitely recommend the villa!!

The house is very nice decorated, It has all necessary technical stuff and everything to have a good rest at the garden. The location is good: 5 minutes walk from the beach and about 7 minutes from city center, wich is very beautiful. We have a great rest, thanks a lot to the helpful owners! :)"
