We are a nearing-retirement age couple from Philadelphia with backgrounds in fine arts and restoration, an appreciation for eccentricity, and a limited amount of patience for shoveling snow - so Savannah is perfect for us.
Owner purchased this House in 2007
Why Owner chose Historic District - North
When our son was clever enough to pass up the blustery New York area where he was born and enrolled in the Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD) in animation in 2004 we began thinking about escaping ourselves - at least for visits. He graduated in 2008 and has moved on to other challenges but we continue to be fascinated by Savannah, one of the most magical cities in the US.
What makes this House unique
For short and longer term visits we have stayed in quite a few Savannah hotels and a dozen or so furnished vacation rentals, so we have a good idea of what we want to find to make us comfortable, which has guided us in renovating and furnishing this house.

It’s a perfect location, easy to get on the free bus and a lovely house with a tv in every room
We All loved the house the location was fabulous the week we stayed here the weather was 99+ the free bus was close by , we even walked to Kroger *****
We throughly enjoyed our stay in the Jingle Bells house. It is well appointed, with a modern kitchen, large dining room, and big screen TV in the living room. The bedrooms and baths were great with comfortable mattresses. Our favorite place was the screened in porch in the early mornings! The location was great to walk to most anything in the historic district, and the free shuttle was only a block away.
Beautiful home and located within walking distance to so many things! Private and well maintained!
Great experience with owner and property manager. Easy to work with and flexable.
Perfect family getaway
We had a fantastic family visit to Savannah and couldn’t have picked a better place to stay. The Jingle Bells Square house was perfect for our family of four (especially with the single beds!). The location was perfect - close enough to walk or ride bikes most everywhere, yet on a quiet street with easy parking (there was a fair amount of construction noise in the alley behind the house, though obviously through no fault of the owners). Hands down the favorite part of the house (besides the incredibly high ceilings, which we loved) was the inviting and large screened-in porch. We had our coffee there every morning, played games in the evening, and even sat out there during a severe rain storm one afternoon. Beds were super comfortable, linens & towels were provided, and the desk area really came in handy. We would absolutely stay here again.
We were impressed. The house was comfortable and met the needs of three generations.
We all, three generations, enjoyed this beautiful home - TVs in all rooms - 2 baths upstairs and one downstairs. Washer and Dryer helped. We were able to walk easily to most restaurants or catch the "NO FARE" DOT trolley which would take us to our various destinations. The nice kitchen with large table accommodated the six of us easily. The back porch was lovely, and the few questions we had were answered very quickly. The cozy fireplaces were nice as well. We would highly recommend.
