Deluxe Caribbean Condo with beautiful views of St. Barths

Overall this is an outstanding place to stay. The facilities are very nice, the pool, gym, laundry, all things that are great at this resort. we loved our room, the spaciousness of it, the privacy offered. overall a real good experience.

there were a couple of items that may be an issue for you if you come here, they were for us.

1. the resort is overwhelmed with cats. at one point i counted 17 , and 2 of them did have a litter before we left, so right now between 20 to 30 cats will be on the resort. they come from the rocks in the upper parking lot, they stay in the garden area by the gym, which smells like cat pee something awful. our first room we had to leave because the cat pee & dander smell overwhelmed the room, which was a shame because we had stayed there before & the owner of that room {Tim & Janet Mathews} were so wonderful to work with. she & the staff worked together to move us & try to alleviate the problem. they did a good job of re cleaning room ductwork, surrounding area, but for someone who is allergic, like me it did not help. they moved us to a second unit which was better, but you still had to walk around the cat pee smell in several areas.

2. the only other issue that some might have is that building A has no elevator, so be prepared to take steps if you are there. we got moved to building B which has a lift, but the only time i used it was when my wife & I went out for the day or evening. I liked the steps because it gave me a good work out. other than that , this is an enjoyable place, but we probably will not come back to stay until something is done about the cats. which is too bad, because we really enjoyed the friendliness of the staff & owner. They are awesome, but the seem to be at a loss about the cats and someone who is highly allergic to them.

Many times on VRBO a unit falls short of the image created by the owner...not here! The condo is quite large, beautifully maintained, and well-managed. Princess Heights has on-site management so you have assistance if you need it. Janet, the owner, was in constant communication making sure I had everything I needed for a great stay. The location is quiet but a short drive from Phillipsburg and Grand Case. Restaurant options and beaches are close.

The complex is fairly large but you don't see a lot of people. The area feels quite safe and I walked every evening.

I've read reviews of the condo that fretted over having to climb stairs. I'm 68 and the stairs were no issue.

I had the condo to myself but it's big enough for multiple people comfortably. I definitely look forward to my next visit.

We had the best time staying at Tim and Janet's place at Princess Heights. The whole place is gorgeous and there was plenty of space. The room is filled with all the essentials and more. The property is in a perfect location to view the gorgeous sunrises on SXM. Loved the peace and quiet of the entire property! The owners are fabulous and respond promptly to any requests or questions. We definitely will be staying here again! Thank you so much for your wonderful hospitality!

Stayed in this unit twice in July. Excellent property. Owners were super responsive. Would definitely book again.

This is the second time we have stayed in a Princess Heights property in St. Maarten. The service from the office staff couldn't be better! These folks are very attentive to your every need and question, which is always a plus when you are traveling.

This condo was very much like the one we previously stayed in, except this one is five floors up! Therefore, you have to climb five flights of stairs every time you are headed to your condo. (You might want to do some cardio before you come here! Whew!)

That being said, the bed was extremely comfortable and all of the amenities were as described. The only issue we ran into was intermittent and sometimes weak WIFI signals. It seemed to work much better with the laptop than with our phones.

I must say that we were initially shocked to see that some of our favorite eateries had been totally wiped out by hurricane Irma. However, we made a project out of discovering restaurants and visiting destinations we missed on our first trip. I am hopeful that the vegetation on St. Maarten returns within the next couple of years! I miss seeing all of that greenery! We spent most of our time on Orient Beach (which is our favorite!), so experiencing those beautiful turquoise waters again made the trip definitely worthwhile.

We will return to St. Maarten again in the future and look forward to seeing additional improvements to this adventurous island!
