Wonderful place to visit!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time staying at the ranch! The cabin was definitely worth 5 stars! It was a very cute little cabin that has everything you need for a good stay! Everything was extremely clean and taken care of. The owners were also wonderful, very nice people who made sure we were taken care of and had a good time. The property is beautiful with so much to do! We had a blast fishing up and down the creek, and then hopping in the pool to cool off! My son also loved the morning visits by the horses and goats. A great place for families or couples to get away for a little. We will most definitely be back!

Absolutely perfect!

  • 5 of 5

This vacation was exactly what we needed. Living in Austin, we needed a weekend getaway to escape the city. This cabin was exactly that. We were greeted by Beth as soon as we arrived and she gave us a tour of their ranch. All the animals would greet us on the porch in the mornings, partly looking for a breakfast snack. I can't stress that this place is perfect to relax and enjoy the Texas country side. We will be coming back on a regular basis!

Wonderful, even better than expected.

  • 5 of 5

This was our first stay at a ranch, so we weren't sure what to expect. We had such a great time. The kids loved the horses and goats - they really add so much character to the property. The grounds are beautiful and really well maintained. The stock tank pool was perfect to cool off on hot summer evenings. The owners are extremely nice and provide tons of great information. I've stayed at a few 4 and 5 star resorts this summer for work and this place blew those away. Awesome great time, highly recommend.

Nature Retreat

  • 5 of 5

What a splendid little cabin. My children, 5 and 16 months, were enchanted by the goats. So much to see from wildlife to nature and an amazing tour and history of the property from Beth. We enjoyed 2 days of hiking at the Colorado Bend Park and it was nice to have so much to see around the cabin for the other 2 days of arrival and departure. It was such a pleasant spot we've booked a week for next year the same day we left.

Perfect cabin hideaway

  • 5 of 5

We are big hikers and planned hikes in Colorado Bend State Park and were looking for a place close by where we didn't have to camp or stay in a budget motel. This was the perfect location for us. We loved exploring the property and being out in the country. The ranch is so pretty. We enjoyed the horses, goats and cattle all around. Spotted a skunk and fox so that was fun from a distance. Saw plenty of deer in the area, turkey, some ostriches on another property and lots of birds. The cabin was just right for us. Brought some food to heat up, but enjoyed going into San Saba for some dinner, wine and shopping. Nice cabin to unwind in and just sit on the porch and enjoy the view.

This is such a great place to go to get out of the city to enjoy the peace and quiet of the country

  • 5 of 5

The property is beautiful. The cabin may be small but it has all the necessities you need. I really enjoyed feeding the horses and goats that are on the property. It was very entertaining. It was fun to watch the different wildlife on the property. Beth was a great host, she gave us a tour of the property and shared lots of knowledge about the property with us. We will definitely be coming back with our kids so they can enjoy it also! Thank you Beth!
