Great location and comfortable

  • 5 of 5

We loves our stay! We had plenty of room and the location was perfect for exploring the hill towns. It was always fun driving up to the castle. Would have been nice to know the history of the area and the castle.

Characterful apartment in castle

  • 5 of 5

We greatly enjoyed our stay in the Castle apartment which is cosy, comfortable and well equipped. The apartment is completely private, is set within the old castle, and has been sympathetically restored with lots of character. The overall environment is wonderfully atmospheric. The terrace, which is a short walk down the hillside away from the castle has a similarly atmospheric feel, being again very private, sheltered and with panoramic views across the valley and overlooking the Tiber.

The location is very convenient both for shopping (with the main supermarket being about 5 minutes drive away) and for places to visit. Siena is about 1 hour 30 minutes drive away with Perugia, Assisi, Spoleto and Narni being much closer. We were spoilt for choice in terms of where to go and almost missed out on Carsulae which, as an interesting and open excavation of the major Roman town in Ubria, made a nice change to Umbrian/Tuscan hilltop towns which inevitably dominated our holiday.

Our thanks to Steffano for a great week and warm welcome.

magnifique région

  • 4 of 5

  • 5 of 5

Soggiorno incantevole!

  • 5 of 5

  • 5 of 5

Grazie!
