Urdelarun is one of the oldest houses on the Basque coast. She has preserved her soul and a unique atmosphere through the centuries.
Ideally located on the Basque Coast between Bidart and Guéthary, as close to Biarritz as St jean de luz, on the foothills of the coast at 1 km 400 from the beach (with a direct access road), a few minutes from mythical surf spots of Parlementia and Lafitenia, Urdelarun benefited from a complete, luminous and artistic renovation with a return of its secular curves in 1993, 1994 and 1995, and a retouch in 2015.
Built very close to the Atlantic coast, this very old Basque farm is immersed in one of the last islets of greenery of the Basque Coast. It is thus protected from the bad weather and noise of the coastal plain (train, road, highway).
The nobility of the old materials used (marble, elm, chestnut, sanitary from the Hotel of the Palace of Biarritz ...) contrasts with the simplicity of the furnishing enriched of some Moroccan colors.
The lush garden, the 2 independent terraces and the courtyard are completely private.
The courtyard has a small pool of very pure water (filtered rainwater) which is not made for lengths but is very playful. The first pool allows diving (with caution); it overflows in a whirlpool which itself cascades in a paddling pool for children.
The house has 2 baths with showers, 3 other showers and 3 WC (2 large family bathrooms, a separate shower, 1 separate WC).
Its access road is private, with parking for 3 cars.
A surfboard will be at your disposal during your stay.
The calm, the antiquity, the beauty of the place make it particularly conducive to meditation, the Tao Chi practiced by the owners, or reading. You will also enjoy a good audio and visual installation with a real high fidelity and a big screen for the cinema.
Urdelarun is a family home and is also suitable for children and babies (beds, games, etc ... that we can lend you).
Urdelarun recovers rainwater and solar energy, has a carbon footprint close to zero, uses a heat pump to heat water and the house, consumes green energy (Enercoop), and has a charging station for your electric vehicles.
