This comfortable well maintained 1 bedroom casita has everything you would need for the perfect getaway. Our aim is to offer you a beautiful private home with facilities similar to a hotel so you can choose what services you would like to receive during your holiday. We hold a licence (Exp. 251/2013/ET) from the Tourism board to rent the house. The property enjoys a private swimming pool (open between May to November or as the weather will allow) on a terrace with spectacular and panoramic views of Soller. The pool is maintained to a high standard regularly during the week. The air conditioned bedroom has a very comfortable King sized bed (160x200) with allergy free bedding. It has picturesque views of the Tramuntana mountains. The kitchen is well equipped & modern (dishwasher, fan oven, microwave, Nespresso maker etc.) making it ideal should you enjoy eating at home either inside at the dining area, the patio outside the kitchen or al fresco by the pool! A charming stone terrace is located just outside the casita so you can enjoy breakfast in the bright morning sun (sun normally pops up around 9am in summer). Should you need catering during your stay, please just ask us and we will happily make arrangements. There is a bright sitting room with a large & comfortable L shaped sofa & 40 inch LCD TV. It is equipped with a USB port should you want to bring some of your own movies. There is hot & cold air conditioning in this open plan room too & a lovely wood burning stove for the cooler months. We are happy to supply the wood for during your stay. Please just let us know and the Receptionist will arrange this for you. There is a washing machine room to the side of the house and ample space behind the house to dry clothes. We can also offer you a personal laundry service if you prefer. We include mid stay cleaning/change of linens to ensure a hassle free and enjoyable holiday.

The view from the property is very beautiful. An ideal location for couples wanting to get away from it all and enjoy your own private space yet have 5 star services on hand. Please let us know what you need to make your stay a special one and we will do our best to help.

Our property has all the necessary services for our guests to enjoy your holiday as if you were at home. Each booking is dealt with personal attention. The comfort of our guests is paramount - to name but a few we aim to offer Internet access, International TV satellite channels, regular cleaning, luggage storage, excursion bookings, and for your absolute complete comfort we can make bookings for you at local wellness and spa services.

We also have available a very reliable taxi driver for short or longer journeys - please book in advance.

Ask for something and we will do our very best to deliver - like a personal concierge service!

We offer an ideal and popular location between September through to Spring for walkers and cyclists. Many walks are even on your doorstep!

Swimming Pool (not shared): on the adjacent terrace to the property. This is for your exclusive use. It is located on a gated private elevated terrace set in a beautiful location with stunning views of Soller. There is a lovely palm tree providing some shade to the pool deck area. The salt water pool is a gradient pool with dimensions of 6 metres long and 3 metres wide with 3 large steps (not a ladder) allowing easy access.

There is a large sunbathing area with cushioned & comfortable sun loungers to enjoy the views, peace and tranquility.

The pool is cleaned/serviced very regularly and at any time on guest request.

Pool opens for use in May but warm water temperature cannot be guaranteed until later in the season. Pool closes usually around November or as the weather dictates!

The garden and grounds are maintained regularly so from time to time you will see the Receptionist tidy and clean the area for the best guest experience possible. We will liaise with you to choose a convenient time for these visits.

Modern Gas BBQ available to you on the pool deck. The gas is supplied for ease of use.

Please note that there is building work on a house in the community of houses further up the road from our house. The house is complete but the landscaping is outstanding (update as of May 2017). For complete transparency, we would like to advise you as it 'may' have an impact on your holiday. We would like you to be aware of this in advance & for you to make an informed decision as to your personal requirements.

A cat also likes to visit the property. We call her Duffy! She is not actually owned by us but she seems to have become part of the ambiance of our house & we, as do our guests, find her to be very sweet & quite a pleasure to have around the place. She makes it feel quite homely! We ask that she does not come into the house for obvious reasons & that she is treated with obvious caution. Should you dislike cats, maybe this is not the house for you & you should look elsewhere! Cat food is available for you to feed her should you enjoy the interaction or the Receptionist will feed her daily if you prefer.

There is a Receptionist(and the Owner, me!) on call at all times during your stay. 2 people to care for our 2 guests! Should you need any matters attended to or advice on the local area please let us know. We are happy to help you during your stay. Nothing is too much trouble - we can help you with making bookings of local spas, excursions, restaurants, taxis etc. or just to provide you with information regarding amenities in the local area. We can store your luggage for you should you have an early arrival or late departure. Collect the daily newspaper and deliver it to your door or pop into the local bakery to order some fresh croissants or a baguette for your breakfast. We can help you make your holiday a special and carefree experience.

Extra Information: Should you require more information please feel free to email and we will get back to you as quickly as possible. There is an informative guide book available in the house telling our guests how everything works, contact numbers for the owner and Receptionist, emergency services etc. along will information about the local area or you can just ask us!

Why Owner chose Deia - Soller Region

We noticed this property and the land that surrounds it many years ago during our walks through Sóller and up the mountains. By chance, we met an elderly couple who were moving back home and they shared their love of Sóller and this particular stretch of mountain and we too fell in love with it! There is something very special about the place - we can enjoy the wonder and beauty of the views, scenery and ever changing light (experience for yourself how the vista changes throughout the day) yet be so close to the town and Port. Everything we could want and more. We hope you too one day can share our bliss!

What makes this house unique

We set hotel standards while you enjoy the space and peace of this romantic setting in Sóller.

Our Receptionist and the owner are available at any time to help you during you stay for anything you may need. Please let us know - we will do our very best!

Peaceful setting but still in a local Spanish speaking community with normal life going on around you while you can just sit still!

Amazing views of the mountain and Sóller town and the villages in the distance (Fornalutx, Biniaraix etc.)

Your very own private salt water pool. Perfect.... no rush for the perfect poolside spot!

The light that falls on the property and across the mountains that almost wrap themselves around you!

As for the property - not having to compromise on lovely home comforts! Having what you need, when you need it - the casita is so well equipped.

So many places to sit down around the casita to enjoy good food made in a lovely kitchen or at the gas BBQ up on deck.

Not having to miss out on TV in many languages in case there's something special on you don't want to miss. Having the OFF button too as there's a great library of books to enjoy.

Showering in lovely mountain water that is replenished for you every Friday morning.

Not having to worry about where to park the car or finding a space in the car park when they are few & far between or loading money into the meter.

Love or hate cats, they love our guests & Casita Tranquilidad - cats are very choosy. Duffy the cat is a very frequent visitor and she calls this home…she is quite a character and our guests love her! If you don't love to have a cat around, choose another house!

I could go on why this place is simply great - but better still, why don't you discover these things and more for yourself. Casita Tranqulidad is our little gem & our guests best kept secret as they simply don't want to share the news of this particular find & have nowhere to stay year after year! 5 star location with 5 star services - just like a hotel!

Since the first time the gate opened and we saw the casita, we feel at home. It is fantastic here and we love the view.

So we did nearly 100 photographs from Soller and the hills around.

This place was perfect for us to start to explore Mallorca for the first time. We are sure we will come back to Mallorca and hope to stay at your home for a second time.

There is a Property manager on call should you have any issues during your stay to make your holiday a special one! The pool and grounds are checked regularly throughout the week by the Property manager. The house is cleaned by the Property manager ready for your arrival. Additional cleaning is available by arrangement. The property is on the side of a mountain (hence the spectacular views) however it may be unsuitable for the elderly/infirm or those with walking difficulties unless you have a car at your disposal. We do not rent to guests with children as the terraces are steep. The property and car park area is all on one level apart from 5 steps to the terrace area where the pool is located. For your convenience, we highly recommend hiring a small car as it makes navigating Soller and the surrounding area much easier! The access road is both narrow and steep and requires a confident driver but the view will be worth it! Best to arrive in daylight only. The house is non-smoking.

Stunning stay in Soller

We had a wonderful 6 nights at Olwen's Casita in Soller. The property was clean, excellent thoughtful touches and Jude was on hand if ever needed. We would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone wishing to stay in this beautiful part of Majorca and Olwen's communication is the best I have ever had so you feel reassured all of the time. We loved having Duffy the cat around each day and look forward to visiting again soon! Thanks Olwen and Jude xx

Amazing holiday

We had a fantastic time staying in the casita. The house is in lovely condition and has everything you could possibly want - nice kitchen, plenty of space, air conditioning etc - and the outside area and private pool are perfect, with amazing views of the town. The owners are incredibly helpful, answering any questions and providing solutions to travel queries etc.

Soller itself is lovely and it's a very short walk into the town centre.

We will certainly be back!

Luxury Villa with mod. cons and a great location

We've stayed a number of times in Mallorca but this was our first stay at the Casita Tranquilidad. We'll certainly be back...

Communication was great throughout the booking process and right through the holiday while still remaining discreet thus respecting your privacy.

This is a fantastic place and provides everything you need for a luxury break. A lot of the reviews have listed all the facilities which I'll not repeat apart from to say they were of excellent quality. In addition there is also a Sony Bluetooth Portable Speaker which you can sync with your phone to play back music around the villa or even take around the pool area.

There's also a coolbox with ice packs which is great for storing in the car to keep your drinks bottles cold while out and about.

The WiFi works well and is fast. Plus it has a great signal strength, giving you excellent reception all around the casita including the pool/BBQ area too.

As several people have mentioned hire a small car to make the drive up to the villa easier. I got upgraded to a Kia Ceed but this wasn't suitable for the road so I exchanged it quickly for a Fiat Panda (as I'd originally booked) which is perfect for the access road as well as all the other roads around Mallorca. Once we'd got this there were no problems accessing the villa.

We have never rented a property before when, on arrival, there is a bottle of chilled Cava waiting in an ice bucket along with olives, nibbles, bottled water and fresh oranges for juicing, and of course Duffy the cat . The house and grounds are very spacious for a property for two, which made it even more relaxing. The pool was a bonus, and despite being unheated, was warmer than many heated pools we have used, and the fact that the water had salt rather than odorous chemicals was great. The road is tricky so follow the advice and hire a small car and insure your excess, but it is worth it for the tranquillity and the view. Soller is beautiful and fairly chilled, and the specialist food shops are worth exploring.

Absolutely perfect

Very lovely place with a magnificent view and all the facilities one could need. The proximity to Sóller and yet in a quite place is nice and we also used the Casita as the starting point of a lot of wonderful trekking in the Tramuntana mountains. The owner is very experienced and everything regarding booking, payment, information etc works smoothly and with a high level of attention and service. We will very much indeed recommend this place.

Just wow!

What a great time we had in Casita Tranquilidad, we can only agree with all the previous comments!

It was so nice to be welcomed by Jude with bubbles, fresh oranges in a well-maintained house. In the mornings, we woke up to a stunning view of Soller, which makes the pretty steep hike up the mountain worth it. We loved the tranquility of the place, which wasn't isolated, and our new cat-friend Duffy..

All in all, we can really recommend this luxuruous place!

We didn't rent a car as we wanted to hike and bike. Therefore Olwen booked us a great taxi that picked us up from the airport and brought us back, a very relaxing way of vacationing.

Thanks Olwen for always being available for questions and the great place!

This beautiful casita is a perfect mix of country and town living. Located on the slopes of Soller valley enjoying panoramic views of the valley and the Tramuntana mountains, yet only 15 minutes walk to Soller town centre. We have a lovely pool on the adjacent recently planted wild orchard terrace making this casita very special. There is a large Gas BBQ there too. The casita is nestled amongst classic Mallorquin dry stoned terraces. A beautiful location.

Transport couldn't be easier - 10 minutes away you will find the historic (1912) Train of Soller bringing you from Palma city to Soller or there is a bus stop 5 minutes walk from the end of the road to Palma. There is also a quaint tram that brings you from Soller town to the Port of Soller for a day out at the beach. Ideal property for walkers too.

Other Activities: Private Swimming Pool. This is maintained to a high standard ensuring high levels of cleanliness for your health and general comfort. Should you need any assistance with the pool, our Receptionist will be available to assist you.


There are several golf courses on the island. You'll find the closest to Soller is most likely Son Termens Golf Course. It has 18-holes and is approximately 15-20 minutes drive away. Please ask if you need any reservations or enquiries made on your behalf.

Horseriding: Available locally. Please do not hesitate to ask us should you need any bookings or further information.

Guided Walks & Tours: Available locally. We can recommend a very good local company to help you. Also, a complementary guided tour of Sóller is available - twice weekly with limited spaces. Please just ask.

Rental of bikes and moped/scooters etc. available in Soller town & Port. We can book or make any enquiry you require on your behalf.

Taxi - we use a reliable local taxi should you require transport to &/or from the airport or local area. We are happy to make bookings on your behalf should you need a taxi. Taxis will leave you to the end of the road only.

Remember your booking is not confirmed until we have received at a minimum a signed booking agreement from you. This is expected within 24 hours of the agreement being emailed to you. We provide a choice of methods for return of the agreement.
You will be welcomed to the house by our Property Manager between 4-5pm on your day of arrival. They will be happy to show you around the house and let you know how everything works and help you with any reasonable requests that you may have.

25% on booking with a signed booking agreement. The remainder (75% & the refundable damage deposit) to arrive 1 month prior to arrival.
