Villa Parthenope, a 17th-century villa, has been recently renovated with care and tastefully decorated. It perches in a peaceful and quiet spot, yet is centrally located in Positano. Hospitality is offered in a pleasant apartment, Casa Ligea, on the ground floor down about 30 steps from the road. The apartment is independent and allows privacy. One of the great advantages of the villa is that a car is not required. The apartment is located a 5-minute walk uphill from the celebrated chic boutiques, restaurants and bars of Positano. Fifteen minutes walk downhill takes the visitor to the main beach. Casa Ligea (sleeps 4) has an entrance leading into the large living/dining room, which is furnished in a charming style with white-washed walls, terra cotta tiled floors, wooden table and chairs, comfortable sofa, air conditioning, WiFi, TV LCD and 2 French windows opening onto the balcony, which runs the length of the apartment and faces a truly picture-perfect view of the sea and Positano. The kitchen is cheerful, compact and efficient, with refrigerator, stove with 3 gas burners, and oven. There is a separate powder room with washing machine. The upper level (4 steps) has 2 double bedrooms with vaulted ceilings, each with en suite bathroom (one with shower). Another great advantage of Casa Leucosia: private stairs which, through the garden, lead directly to the beach in less than 5 minutes.

Touralura returns to Positano
We spent a beautiful week at Casa LIgea with friends who had never been to Positano. This was our 4th trip to the Amalfi Coast--staying at other properties before. Pierpaolo's property provides a breathtaking view. The villa was a perfect location with a beautiful view of the town and the sea. We especially enjoyed sitting on the patio as night approached and the lights of the surrounding hotels, apartments, villas came on---absolutely enchanting. My girlfriend especially liked watching the chefs at the Sireneuse next door from our patio. They would nod greetings to each other each day. We found the beds and pillows to be a bit hard, but being in Paradise made it tolerable! A/C worked great and was much appreciated after walking the hills in the humidity each day. The local grocery personnel were so friendly and helpful and they provide delivery service if requested. Saved us from lugging bottled water and wine up the steps! Pierpaolo is a new Papa and so proud of his new bambino. After check-in, he graciously came to greet us and shared with us that his family has owned the villa since the 1700's. Getting the luggage up and down the stairs to the villa was a challenge as we had 2 people with leg/knee problems, but we managed. My girlfriend prepared breakfast a couple of mornings and the tiny kitchen worked swell for bacon, eggs, toast. coffee, ala American style. We loved washing clothes and drying them on the balcony in the Positano sunshine. We rented a boat and captain for a day and cruised up and down the Amalfi Coast and inside several caves. Beaufitul. PIerpaolo booked reservations for us at Da Adolfo, a private beach (take your own towels) with an incredible restaurant, where we had lunch. Fresh sea bass! Bruno's Restaurant, up the hill from Casa Ligea, has lovely sidewalk dining overlooking Positano. One of our favorites. Gelato nearby. A couple of evenings we had charcuterie and drinks on patio. Great finds at grocery. Visited Capri and Anacapri, rode chairlift to top.
Rode the bus to the top to re-visit Villa Franca Hotel one afternoon. We had stayed there a few years back and wanted to revisit. They were very cordial and offered us fantastic seats at the pool bar. Enjoyed drinks, snacks, a breath-taking view. We attempted to visit the Hotel Sireneuse bar for drinks on 2 occasions and were turned away. Oh well, their loss and money saved! Ferried to Amalfi one day. Went up to Ravello for lunch at Da Salvatore
Wonderful location and hospitality in Positano!
So many great things to say about this lovely apartment overlooking the sea! First of all, believe all the terrific reviews and get here as soon as you can! We arrived a little early and were welcomed by the owner’s mother who could not be a sweeter person. She chatted with us and served us cold drinks. Casa Ligea was an outstanding jumping off point for trips to Ravello, Amalfi, Capri and Pompeii. The women at the local deli just a short distance down the street kept us supplied with any and all groceries. Pierpaolo spent quite a while explaining everything. The washer was very useful and allowed us to pack only carry on baggage (no dryer so learn to use a clothesline-also cheerfully provided). The view from the terrace is as advertised. Getting up the steps with luggage is a challenge so don’t hesitate to get Pierpaolo’s phone number otherwise the porters will not accept your baggage. This did NOT mar our otherwise amazing experience and I would do it again in a heartbeat. Grazie Pierpaolo, sei troppo gentile e’ ci e piaciuto molto Il nostro soggiorno alla costiera amalfitana!
We rented this apartment for a family trip to Positano with our two young boys. It exceeded our expectations! The location is perfect, the view is stunning, and the apartment is very clean and well-maintained. We also really appreciated PierPaolo’s help with planning activities and making reservations. Our vacation was a dream come true and these wonderful accommodations were a big part of that. Don’t hesitate!
Where do I start ?! Everything was great... the location, the facilities but most of all that view...
Pierpaolo is the perfect host, so welcoming and friendly. Between him and his driver Lupo, the whole trip was effortless, (despite some circumstances beyond their control). They made all of it easy.
Myself, my husband and my two teenaged children loved everything about our week in Positano and look forward to returning to this very special place.
Idyllic, beautiful home overlooking the sea
Pietro Paolo's home was absolutely lovely. The air conditioning worked wonders and was much appreciated after being out in the humidity and heat of summer. The space was clean and comfortable with windows that let in natural light from the balcony. The bedrooms have doors as well as curtains to block out light in the early AM (if you want to sleep in). We had an ant problem in the middle of our stay, and Paolo promptly called in a eco-friendly bug man who solved the issue. Paolo and his team (Ana Maria and Lupo) were all sweet - very accommodating, welcoming, kind, and eager to answer questions, make recommendations, and help us navigate our stay in Positano. We are so grateful for the hospitality. Paolo's home has the most beautiful view. Very romantic and picturesque. Cannot say enough good things about our stay. Would highly recommend and would absolutely stay again if we have the opportunity to return to Positano.
