Villa Parthenope, a 17th-century villa, has been recently renovated with care and tastefully decorated. It perches in a peaceful and quiet spot, yet is centrally located in Positano. Hospitality is offered in a pleasant apartment, Casa Ligea, on the ground floor down about 30 steps from the road. The apartment is independent and allows privacy. One of the great advantages of the villa is that a car is not required. The apartment is located a 5-minute walk uphill from the celebrated chic boutiques, restaurants and bars of Positano. Fifteen minutes walk downhill takes the visitor to the main beach. Casa Ligea (sleeps 4) has an entrance leading into the large living/dining room, which is furnished in a charming style with white-washed walls, terra cotta tiled floors, wooden table and chairs, comfortable sofa, air conditioning, WiFi, TV LCD and 2 French windows opening onto the balcony, which runs the length of the apartment and faces a truly picture-perfect view of the sea and Positano. The kitchen is cheerful, compact and efficient, with refrigerator, stove with 3 gas burners, and oven. There is a separate powder room with washing machine. The upper level (4 steps) has 2 double bedrooms with vaulted ceilings, each with en suite bathroom (one with shower). Another great advantage of Casa Leucosia: private stairs which, through the garden, lead directly to the beach in less than 5 minutes.

Breathtaking views, excellent layout, perfect get away place!
Our stay was amazing. Casa Ligea was emaculate upon our arrival and exceeded our expectations from a size and layout perspective. Definitely ideal for a family of four or two couples. The view from the balcony was incredible and peaceful. Our host was also very responsive and helped tremendously with dining recommendations and bookings. The location was perfect and the private steps allowed us quicker access to the beach. The kitchen was very functional and had all the amenities we needed.
I highly recommend Casa Ligea!
Amazing location. Well kept apartment.
Perfect location. Close to the beach. Near lots of restaurants and grocery store. Will definitely miss those mornings sipping coffee on the terrace overlooking the beautiful view of Positano!
Beautiful views, amazing accommodation, large and spotlessly clean.
Wonderful property ideally situated well maintained by a gracious host
We had a great time sitting on terrace, cooking in the adequate kitchen, eating on the terrace, and wandering around Positano. Our gracious host, Pierpaolo, takes pride in the property and maintains it well. He is anxious that his guests enjoy it as much as he does and was helpful with procuring a driver, with restaurant and sight seeing recommendations. It is hard to imagine a better rental for a romantic or family vacation.
PierPaulo was an exceptionally kind and helpful host, making many suggestions and reservations for us, especially considering his wife was expecting their child any minute! One particularly helpful thing he did was to give us contact information for his driver, Luigi Capodelupo (Lupo- the wolf), who was also very helpful with suggestions and reservations for restaurants, tours, and luggage help which really made a huge difference. Also he is quite a character! One of the really special things about Case Ligea is the private staircase down to the port- the location is high enough that the view is spectacular, but not so many stairs that you dread going down to the beach. Be prepared, though, because there are stairs. You can't go wrong with any of the coffee places, ceramics places, beach clubs and restaurants, and be sure to book Lupo to take you to Ravello and Pompeii!
Fresh, Clean, Airy, With Fabulous View
Stayed four days in mid-April. Pierpaolo is a charming and personable host. The apartment is fresh, clean, and airy -- close to everything, with a fabulous view. Note that Pierpaolo also runs a second apartment next door (Casa Leucosia), and the view from that balcony might be even better, though not by much.
