Great location!

  • 5 of 5

Colmar is a great city for exploring the surrounding Alsatian towns. The apartment is centrally located in the city and close to everything. We were able to walk everywhere in the town. The apartment is charming and quaint but the kitchen and bathroom are modern. It has an expansive layout and gives you plenty of room. Mr. Fuchs, the owner, was helpful and responsive to all of our communications.

Service Above and Beyond

  • 5 of 5

We had booked this apartment for May of this year so we have not actually stayed here but our experience with Bernard was so fantastic that I felt I needed to comment. When we first booked I spoke with Bernard several times with many questions which he was more than happy to answer and give even more suggestions. When we had additional friends joining us on our holiday we wanted to cancel our rental and get something bigger. Bernard did not hesitate to agree to cancelling with no penalty which we were so grateful for. We have used homeaway rentals for years and we can truly say we have never had better service from anyone. Thank you again Bernard and we hope to one day come and stay in your lovely apartment.

Owner's Response: Thanks a lot Brenda , I just want to say that , for me , it's part of the service that I feel to have to procur to my guests (and firends) all my attention and share my knowledge, so for me it's only to take as "normal" attitude . We would be happy , my wife and me to welcome you next time , and I'm sure you will do it as Alsace is a very lovely country . See you nest time . Best regards Bernard

An apartment with character in the center of Colmar's charm

  • 5 of 5

Our family of five enjoyed our holiday visit to Colmar. The apartment was ideally located in the heart of the old town, just steps from the Christmas markets, shops, restaurants, and characteristic Alsace buildings.

Very central location for the Christmas Markets

  • 3 of 5

Apartment is in need of some updating but very old and pretty. It's on the second floor with no lift and steep stairs so might not suite everyone.

Owner's Response: Thanks a lot . My apartment is , as said pretty and is located in an old building (built in 1604) but fully renovated in 2011. For sure in 1604 lifts no exist and all my guests are aware of the fact that there are only stairs , what seems acceptable to reach the second floor. We only renovted the floor parquet which is original and is part of the charm of this apartment . All my guests enjoyed it as well as the rest of the apartment .

Great stay in Colmar

  • 4 of 5

We stayed at this apartment in Colmar for 16 days and used it as a very comfortable home base. It is in an excellent location in the city and also close to so many areas that we wanted to see, the wine route and all the charming little villages in the area, the excellent car museum in Mulhouse, Strasbourg, and also Basel, Switzerland and Lahr, Germany.

We enjoyed the charm of the apartment and it offered us a pleasant, homey feel. All in all, very nice and we would stay there again and recommend it to anyone.

Parking was difficult, even though it was low season but we managed. For a longer stay if you want to cook, the kitchen is very nice but could use a few more utensils and pans.

Owner's Response: Thanks a lot for your opinion . We apraciate also your kindness and will be happy to welcome you again . We are quite surprised about your comments about parking availabilities .We never had such a remark and our guests usually use our little map to easily find a toll free parking place . We also note to add some pans in the kitchen , wealready had it in view , as the 3 actuals have to be changed.
