Even if you spend only few days in Rome, it will be very important to stay in the centre, so that you can get in short time all the places of tourist interest, on foot. 'PALAZZO GIORGIOLI' apartment is in betwen Esquilin et Viminal hills.
Walking gently along Via Cavour, you will get to ‘Foro Romano’ and Colosseum. A short walk along the most beautiful streets and squares in the heart of Rome and you are in ‘Via del Corso’, ‘Fontana di Trevi’, ‘Pantheon’. Thanks to the underground (the stops of Line A and B are near the apartment) you will be in a moment in Saint Peter, Vaticans Museum, ‘Circus Maximum’ and the enchanting ‘Piazza di Spagna’. You will enjoy Rome from a very privileged position.
THE APARTMENT - The apartment is on the 4th floor, with lift. Palazzo Giorgioli was built at the end of the 19th century by the Marquises Ciacci. The large entrance with Corinthian columns distinguishes the importance of this building safeguarded by the ministry of Fine Arts. Numerous walls with frescos, very tall ceilings, antique furniture and windows with a breathtaking view over the Santa Maria Maggiore complete this very bright apartment as witnessed by the publication of an article on the magazine “Vogue Casa'. The apartment is composed by a large hall, a spacious and elegant living room with couches, dining corner and frescos on the walls, that give this place a distinctive atmosphere. There is also a double bedroom, a twin bedroom and two single beds, a kitchen, two bathrooms. Air conditioning.
Have a good Roman Holiday
Fantastic location....close to Termini......also an easy 15 minute walk to the Colosseum. We would certainly stay here again!
Beautiful location in the heart of old Rome. The 5th floor balcony gave us a place to just sit and drink in the life of Rome. A charming apartment with wonderful hand painted frescos. Owner and team provided great help and guidance in planning our trip. Will return again and stay here!
This apartment is near the train station and a metro stop, so it is very centrally located. It's in a beautiful old building with city dwellers, so it was nice to have the local experience. The apartment is decorated with great wall murals and nice touches. Rooms were spacious, comfortable, and clean. We felt well taken care of. I'd recommend it definitely.
After a few other tiny Italian hotel rooms, it was nice to spread out a bit in this large apartment. A quick walk to Termini was great for getting in and around the city. Lavinia met us and explained everything about the room. Typical of what we saw in Italy, there is street noise that isn't totally blocked out with the windows closed but didn't seem to bother us at all. Convenient to have laundry to do a mid week load and a second toilet room was fabulous. Few quirks with the only shower in the larger bedroom's ensuite, loft second bedroom is not for people much over six feet tall, pretty firm beds and elevator/lift is tiny. We didn't cook so the tiny kitchen wasn't a big deal for us. Overall was a great stay with nice sized rooms and convenient to everything.
Charming quirky flat with a nice location if you are happy walking into centre (15 mins). Location is a segway between diffrent areas of Rome. The the east, barely a tourist in site.
Cooking facilities comprise of 2 gas burners so for ye home gourmets, its pasta pasta pasta. When in Rome do as the Romans...
We went with two babies and owner was very accomadating, lift was handy, supermarket very close by
We had 5 wonderful nights. The apartment was clean and had everything we need and actually a little more ;) It has two big beds and the apartment is separated so it is big enough for a family or two couples. The costumer service was really good and we will differently come back. We only had some trouble with the hot water the first day, then we called the house lady, and she fixed it. We can only say that we where very satisfied and happy. They were really helpful and kind to us.
There is a street called Via Urbana with some good small Italian trattoria restaurants just near by across the street.
1 km away down the road (away from Termini) there is a really nice supermarket called Elite with a lot of really delicious cheese, wine, .....
We actually had one night where we went for sushi at a REALLY nice big restaurant called Tin House where you can get fresh Sushi ordered to the table for only 20 euro pr person all you can eat.
The area down Via Urbana and the small streets near by is really cosy with good vibes, small bars and wine places, local small shops, further on.
Just one thing more. We were running the Maraton di Rome 10th april. If you are a runner this marathon is really worth it. Wonderful location, you run some beautiful places and the audiens is fantastic, what a experience. So that is really a recommend for next year.
From the central station, “Stazione Termini”, you will get to the house on foot. The distance to the apartment is about 350 metres, 4-5 minutes away on foot.
If you arrive to Leonardo da Vinci-Fiumicino airport, you can take the train “Leonardo Express” to “Stazione Termini”.
If you arrive to Ciampino airport, you can take the Atral coach to the “Stazione Termini”.
There are a lot of shops and several typical “Pizzerie” and restaurants near the apartment. There are also fast foods chains and “Pizzerie al taglio”, places where is possible to buy a slice of pizza, a typical Roman custom, quick and cheap.
PALAZZO GIORGIOLI apartment is especially appreciated by those who love the charm of antiquity, art and history, but also by those who want to live a stay comfortable and informal, unconventional ... Int the heart of ancient Rome.
"PALAZZO GIORGIOLI", you will enjoy Rome from a very privileged position.
