They are close to 'Parco Archeologico Appia Antica' (Catacombs and ruins of ancient Rome). The ideal starting point to discover the beauties of the 'Eternal City'.

'ROMAINFIORE Apartment' is in the centrally located district of APPIO-SAN GIOVANNI, close to the historical centre of Rome. Our apartment is in very high demand because it offers the advantage of close vicinity to ‘METRO A’ (subway Line A), the faster and simpler means of moving around Rome. The nearest subway station is ‘Colli Albani’, a stop on the convenient Metro A only 2-3 minutes of walk from the apartment.

WHICH TOURIST ATTRACTIONS CAN WE REACH FROM THE SUBWAY? With the apartment already located in a central position, the whole historical center is only a stone’s throw away. You will easily reach the Basilica of St. John Lateran (4 stops, 8 minutes), Viale Manzoni (Coliseum area, 5 stops, 9/10 minutes) and then Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore (Esquilino), Termini Station, Via Nazionale, Via Cavour, Via Veneto, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Piazza del Popolo (Villa Borghese), Via del Corso, Saint Peter Square, the Vatican Museums. Metro A (subway Line A) intersects with Metro B (subway Line B) at the Termini train station, from which you can easily travel to the Colosseum (il Colosseo), the Imperial Fora (I Fori Imperiali), the Circus Maximus (il Circo Massimo) and the Baths of Caracalla (le Terme di Caracalla).

ARE THERE ALTERNATIVES MEANS OF TRAVEL ASIDE FROM THE SUBWAY? Yes. Near the apartment there are numerous bus lines that provide an alternative to the subway. Among these is bus line 85 with a stop 40 meters from the apartment. This bus line runs regularly and serves the entire historical center. On bus line 85 you can directly reach the Basilica of St. John Lateran, the Coliseum, the Campidoglio, Via del Corso, Trevi Fountain and Stazione Termini.

YOU CAN WALK TO THE PLACES OF TOURIST INTEREST? Yes, for example the famous Appia Antica Archaeological Park is within walking distance (or with bus n. 660) crossing the Caffarella Park whose entrance is located 5 minute of walk from the apartment. The Appia Antica park, major tourist destination, is very visited because of the presence of the Catacombs of Domitilla, San Callisto, San Sebastiano and the many archaeological finds, including the mausoleums of Cecilia Metella and the original road paving of Ancient Rome.

IS THE APARTMENT IN A QUIET AREA? Yes. The apartment is situated off a main road, in a quiet street with little traffic. In addition, the apartment is equipped with double-glazed windows.

CAN YOU DESCRIBE THE APARTMENT PLAN? The apartment contains a bright and very well equipped kitchen, a spacious living room with a queen sized sofa, a quiet bedroom and a spacious bathroom with a shower. Balcony. Air conditioning. Parquet.

HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN THE APARTMENT ACCOMMODATE? The inside of the apartment is 60 square meters and can comfortably accommodate 6 adults.


No. We will provide you bed sheets, large bath towels, hand towels and face towels. We emphasise that the sheets and towels are professionally washed at 90°C.

DOES THE APARTMENT COME WITH THE INTERNET? We offer a free and reliable Wi-Fi connection and unlimited data usage.

IS THE KITCHEN WELL EQUIPPED? The kitchen is equipped with everything. Pots, pans, microwave, coffee pot, toaster, mixer, various accessories, plates, glasses and plenty of cutlery.

ARE THERE RE THERE GROCERY STORES NEAR THE APARTMENT? The neighbourhood has plenty of supermarkets. Close to the apartment you will find every type of store (bakeries, delicatessens, fish markets, butchers, pastry shops, rotisseries, ice-cream stores, etc.) and a typical local market with fresh meat and fish, and above all locally produced fruit and vegetables.

ARE THERE RESTAURANTS AND PIZZERIAS IN THE AREA? Yes, the neighbourhood of Appio Latino has many restaurants, excellent typical ‘trattorie’ and pizzerias. We will be able to advise you of the best places for quality and price.

CAN WE ARRANGE TO BE PICKED UP? Yes, it is a service that is very much appreciated by our guests and one that we offer willingly around business hours. We can provide the pick-up services without charge from Ciampino Airport to the apartment. As the Fiumicino (“Leonardo da Vinci”) Airport is approximately 35km from the apartment, we kindly request reimbursement of expenses should you wish to be picked up from there. Providing that it is outside of business hours, we may also be able to accompany you back to your point of departure.

ARRIVING BY CAR: IS VEHICULAR TRAFFIC ALLOWED IN THE STREET OF THE APARTMENT? Yes, the apartment is located outside of the “ZTL”, the restricted traffic zone.

CAN I PARK IN THE STREET OF THE APARTMENT? Yes, parking in the street of the apartment is free and available to everyone.

IS THE NEIGHBOURHOOD SAFE? Yes. The district of Appio-San Giovanni is very safe.

CAN YOU CONFIRM THE PRICE? The price varies in line with the season and the number of guests. The rental price includes all utilities (electricity, gas, heating, air conditioning, Wi-Fi). The rental price does not include the flat rate contribution for the final cleaning of the apartment and for the washing of sheets and towels (a total of 40 euro).

Very clean and convenient!

David and Fernando were very welcoming and hospitable. They gave excellent directions to the apartment, which is close to subway stop. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. Fernando also helped us order a cab for an early morning plane flight. Great stay!

A clean and ideally located apartment.

My girlfriend and I have just spent a fantastic week exploring Rome and Romainfiore played an important role in the success of our trip.

The property is ideally located near the metro, and 20 minutes from the centre of Rome. It is a good size, clean, comfortable and the neighbourhood feels safe.

Finally, Fernando and his son Davide were great hosts and very helpful throughout.

We hope to visit again, and would recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Rome.

We had a wonderful time. Property very clean and tidy. Very near metro . We were picked up from the airport by a family member who was so nice . Would definitely return to this property.

Marvellous location.

This apartment is in a fantastic location for all the sights. Fernardo and his son were superb tourist guides whilst transporting my wife and I to and from the apartment and airport. The standard of cleanliness was perfect, the apartment had all one could possibly need in it. A thoroughly enjoyable holiday.

Absolutely Perfect

I can't say enough about our amazing experience staying at Fernando's apartment in Rome. We met his whole lovely family. They were all EXTREMELY helpful and available during our stay. We were greeted with Wine, Italian Ice Cream, a very informative and professional welcome packet that gave us everything we needed to know about enjoying our experience in Rome.

These people might have been the friendliest, most professional landlords we have ever encountered and they simply made us love Rome. The apartment was convenient to the metro, bus line, places to eat, running trsils, shopping, banks, everything!

We had a power outage one night late and Davide, Alessandro's son, cam over immediately to help us fix it. The power outage was our fault because of the massive hair dryer my wife uses that I guess messed with the power a little.

His other son Franchesco was available to take us to the airport at the end of our stay and it just simply couldn't have been more perfect. I love these people and glad we have found new friends in Rome. Net time we come to Rome, we will definitely stay here!

Convenient and Comfortable in Rome

Thank you so much for a wonderful stay in Rome!! For our family of 4 this apartment was perfect and could even have comfortably accommodated an additional traveler. It is very convenient (few blocks walk) to the A line Metro which is one of the 2 metro lines in Rome and the bus stop, making it very easy to get anywhere you'd want to go. Fernando met us at the apartment with a bottle of Chianti (thank you) and went over all of the apartment details and also his helpful tip book about surrounding restaurants and certain sights that are a little less traveled like the Appian Way, which where we spent one of our favorite days in Rome! The neighborhood is much more residential and not touristy so you really get the feel of living in Rome. The apartment building is very secure and the area felt very safe; many nights we were walking back from restaurants after dark as were many others with no issues. There is a grocery store just below the apartment building so super easy to make a quick stop at the market for essentials.

The apartment is 3rd floor, but thankfully there was an elevator for our big luggage upon check in and out. The air conditioner, which we only used at night, kept the rooms very cool and comfortable. The cool air was a nice relief from the summer heat! Having the washer was also a major asset. It worked great and I used the HE detergent pods I brought from home in my luggage. Fernando has a nice drying line and clothes clips outside the balcony so you can hang your clothes to dry like the Italians. No one uses an electric dryer, I assume because of the cost of electricity.

I cannot say enough positive things about our stay!! I would not hesitate to rent this apartment again in the future.

Why Fernando chose San Giovanni (St. John Lateran)

When our children were young, Me and my husband decided to buy an apartment in the neighborhood 'Appio San Giovanni' because it is central and well served by the main metro line (line A). We did not imagine at this point that this apartment will host other families.

We decided to renovate and refurnish it well to welcome people who chose to stay in Rome in a warm and comfortable environment.

Today, our efforts are rewarded with all these entirely positive comments that we find in our listing on the site of "Homelidays."

We are confident you will be satisfied with our apartment too.

Rome will do the rest. Our city is a unique place. Indeed, every street, every church and every site shows that the Eternal City is an open air museum. Rome is not only for Romans, it is part of the World Heritage.

If you arrive in Rome by plane or train at the weekend or on a bank holiday or after 5pm on a week day, we could pick you up when you arrive and take you to your Roman home. Many of our guests appreciate this service which we offer with pleasure if we don’t have any other prior commitments. The transfers that we can do are the following: 1)CIAMPINO AIRPORT-HOUSE; 2)TUSCOLANA STATION-HOUSE; 3)TERMINI STATION-HOUSE. We can not pick you up from the airport "Leonardo da Vinci" airport, but you can just take the train line FR1 to “Tuscolana Station”. We will be there to pick you up to take you to the apartment. If, due to our work commitments, we can not pick you up at your arrival, here are the instructions on how to reach the apartment with public transport.

FROM CIAMPINO AIRPORT: Take the Atral coach (Line 2) to the end of the line metro A station “Anagnina” (15 minutes, € 1.20). Take the train going toward the centre of Rome and get off at “Colli Albani” stop (10 minutes, € 1.00): the apartment is only 3 minutes away.

FROM LEONARDO DA VINCI AIRPORT FIUMICINO: Take the train , linea FR1, to “Tuscolana” station. The distance to the apartment is about 800 metres. You can catch number 85 bus and get off at “Piazza Santa Maria Ausiliatrice”(3 stops, 5 minutes) or we can arrange to pick you up.

Another alternative is to take the train Leonardo express to the main station (stazione Termini), and then take the metro linea A, get off at “Colli Albani” stop: the apartment is only 3 minutes away.

FROM THE MAIN STATION: take the metro linea A, get off at “Colli Albani” stop. Done.

The Appio district which joins San Giovanni in Laterano is central and a very Roman neighbourhood with excellent shops, cinemas, parks and public transport.

There are several typical restaurant near the apartment, there are also fast foods chains and places where is possible to buy a slice of pizza, a typical roman custom, quick and economical. The district has several public parks, amongst which villa Lazzaroni and the beautiful park of the Appia Antica with the catacombs of Domitilla, San Callisto and san sebastiano - there is also a mausoleum of Cecilia Metella of the ancient roman patrician families .
